  • You say when......
Well, i am not here to burst your balloon...but he is a wait and see guy to me. He has an extreme upside..but he hasn't shown it in a loooooong time. He misses a few, he pouts, then hacks....So, if we can break him of that attitude, and get him with-this-team....we could have a good player there...! He can move, has some post, rebound, and could be a part time enforcer...he could kick artests butt...and he knows him well..!

It was the best move available to DA.  I think JO could have gotten more money elsewhere, and I thought he'd just chase the money, so I'm pleasantly surprised he picked the Cs.

I don't like Kwame though.  He truly does have hands of stone.  I'd prefer Rasho.

Boston picked up the best MLE center available. Thumbs up from me.

I'm coming around....because I trust Danny's judgement.  I hope he is not another injury waiting to happen...if he stays healthy, I am happy.

Can't say I'm in love with it, but considering this absolutely ridiculous market, I'll take it I guess.

Seeing what everyone else got (Drew Gooden 5 years?) really makes me appreciate Jermaine, Ray and Paul. I hope they all get their rings. They deserve it more than the likes of LeBron and Bosh.

And jeez.. Imagine this team 5 years ago.

For the first time in JO's carrer he's in a position where he allmost cant fail.

All the Celtics expect of him is to step in for Perkins, so all the scoring trouble and lack of ability to be a Allstar score is not there.

I truely believe we might have gotten the most importent signing in JO, might be the biggest bust of 2010.. but there's a chance JO turns things around and shows some flashes of what he could have been and if that indeed happens, we got quite a weapon on the cheap.

I like it. Could have loved it if it wasn't for the full MLE.

I definitely like it, if he plays like he did two years ago (and given the talent around him, there's a chance), I could love it.

I'm happy with it.  I would have loved to be able to sign multiple players with the MLE, but in this market, that wasn't going to happen.  To get a starting-caliber center for two years (i.e., our window) with the MLE is a good deal.

I don't want to make anyone mad but I feel pretty strongly that he is better than Perk in every way but durability and low post d. He is a better passer, shot blocker, rebounder, shooter and has better low post moves.

But of course he is actually a Sheed replacement later in the year, so we lose nothing on offense since even when it counted Sheed wouldn't stay in the post and Sheed wasn't good enough from outside to worry about losing spacing. We lose low post d... and he isn't as durable as Sheed.

Perk has a very serious injury.  I don't think it's at all guaranteed that he'll start at any time this year.....especially if J.O. plays his pants off.
