Apparently, Ordway only watched the Heat when they were playing the Celtics in the playoffs.

I think this is probably accurate.

I like Ordway because he's entertaining. I understand he's paid to know a decent amount about many sports and is no longer the basketball insider he was when he worked along side Johnny Most.

Let's remember that before we get too upset about these comments.

Who cares what he has to say.  It's his opinion he has a right to it.  Let's hope he's wrong or that he's right and Harrangody ends up being a beast gets rookie of the year lol and does only a little better than O'Neal so that means O'Neal still plays really well.

sure who cares about having any semblance of a brain when giving your opinions.

We don't know how Jermaine is going to turn out yet.  We could all be looking like the idiots saying he is a steal right now.

Like I said lets hope Ordway ends up being right and that Harrangody can be a beast, get rookie of the year lol and Jermaine will just have barely less of an impact of Harrangody.  That way they both are playing great.

Sure and Tony Allen will have a better season than Paul Pierce next year.  I mean he might...

I'm as big of Luke Harangody fan as you'll find but, there is about 1% he has a better season than JO.  I guarantee you he has no idea that JO averaged 14/7 last year.  Like others have said his comments are directly attributed to JO's struggles against the C's ironically.  Good thing he won't be playing against the C's ...

I was thinking of the best case scenario lol.

He's a radio talk show personality...  His job is to entertain and get you respond to his opinions emotionally.

He will no doubt have achieved his objective...

It's all about the price tag for J.O. Like previous posters have stated, if he stands around shooting 18 footers and not rebounding or D'ing in the post we wasted our money. Then he is the same J.O. of the past 4-5 years.

I think he may be motivated and want to play, but with his tired wheels I dont expect much. No way he is outplayed by Luke Harangody. If that idiot Ordway had said Semih Erden or Art Parkhouski then he may have had a case.  ;D ;D

I know this dead issue but, I hate that excuse.  I mean come on.  How about not using hyperbole and saying something like JO has some injury concerns and age could be a factor and leave it that.  Throwing Luke H. in the mix only gets you called an idiot.

This guy is a joke. That's like saying Scal will play a bigger role in the playoffs than Sheed will. That's basically the players these guys are replacing assuming we keep Harangody. Summer League doesn't translate at all. Harangody is a Boston gimmick at best like Scal was. O'Neal will be better than Sheed. Im keeping it real. I like Harangody and will be rooting for him but that statement is just unrealistic for a 2nd round rookie with little to no athleticism who is undersized for his position.

I know what you mean...  But he's a long-time fixture and that's the way radio and tv talk show operates.  But I bet deep down (the proverbial gun-to-the-head stuff) even he laughs at some of the crazy stuff he says and doesn't agree with it. :)

These guys are paid for listener-ship, not getting you to nod in agreement with them all day.

The problem is that it takes a special kind of clown to have such strong opinions that are so unfounded in any evidence. Harangody would be lucky to ever have a single season as productive as JO's poor showing last season.

Ordway regularly says nonsense because his confidence so exceeds his IQ.
I don't know...he got us talking about him didn't he? Probably, increased the listenership to his radio show a bit, too. I think Ordway (like a number of other talkshow hosts) say stupid/controversial things just to boost their ratings.

Ordway is the biggest poser.  He doesn't know anything about the current NBA...he's been living off his reputation for years.

Agree 100%.  I stopped listening to The Big Show with the Big bl-O-hard about three years ago.

Glen might be right if O'Neal shows up for as many games as he did the first few years of his last contract.

I predict that, this season, Semih Erden will contribute more the Boston Celtics than Glen Ordway will contribute to intelligent, thoughtful discussion about the Boston Celtics.
