And that's the only way I'd take him.  We can't waste money on a tweener who can't solve our problems at center and can't be instant offense at the wing. 

He's nice, but we already have an undersized power forward in Baby and if we want a 4th wing type, we can bring back TA without touching the MLE.

I'd be good with Gomes as the power 3 replacement for Scal. The issue will be the price tag, of course.

Love it. He's definitely going to a contender. Celtics would be his best option, knowing the system and what not.

I think you're seriously underestimating Gomes' value on offense.  I think I'd rather have him than Mike Miller.  Of course, from seeing him in Minnesota and what I remember in Boston, Gomes' defensive IQ is absolutely atrocious.
