My mind is winning the battle with my heart on this one. I hope next year is the last for Pierce in a Celtics uniform unless he's willing to play out his option and sign for less than $10M per year after that (which I doubt).
People are really disloyal. Its like a car, you always want the next best one. Come to find out, the old one run as well if not better than the new one. Piece is that car. All he needs is tune-up or more gym time.
The biggest issue with Pierce is his conditioning, at times his body gives up on him. If he dedicates himself to getting in better shape ala Ray Allen, Pierce still has 3 years all-star level play in him. This playoffs run proves it. I expect him to be in great shape next season. And prove himself all over again.
