Not sure if this tops the Ellis rumors coming out of Golden State, but it's up there. Or out there.

I could easily see this happening. Great move for Washington, potentially a good move for ORL if Arenas can stay healthy and mesh. It's 100% guaranteed success for Washington (Carter expires) and 80% guaranteed success for ORL.

Michael Lee of the Washington Post has the long take. But according to his source "the talks didn't get very far and that it was merely a 'business as usual' conversation between teams around the NBA draft."

Although Otis Smith has been one of Arenas's confidants since his rookie season with the Golden State Warriors.

This is an excellent move by the Wizards. Carter is a prototype shooting guard, who can still run the break, and put up 20+ nights, he’s the perfect type of star for a young up and coming to play with.



I thought Gilbert was junk before this gun incident, now that these reports of his personality have come out... i think he’s a scumbag, and a bad teammate as well. Arenas isn’t the missing piece for The Disney World Magic

I always felt that Arenas was the perfect player to pair with Howard. A prolific scorer who can create his own shots and handle the offense while D. Howard mans the defense and rebounding. The problem is that Arenas hasn't been that type of player for the last 3 or so years. It's a big risk by Orlando, but it could work out. One question though If this goes down what happens to Nelson?

Won't ever happen.  A team would have to be phenomenally stupid to trade for Arenas.

If Orlando wants to take even another step backwards, then I'm all for it.  

I thought replacing Hedo with Vince was dumb at the time.  Now, replacing Vince with Gilbert would be another dumb one.
