Why are they trying to clear cap room for next season? Al is probably as good as you're gonna get at his position. Is he the next Pervis Ellison and we just don't see it? I will say that in terms of aggression, I'd rather have Zach Randolph. The trade off besides that fact that ZR is a bit older and has a crap attitude is that he's not as injury prone as Big Al.

I think Jefferson actually would fit in fine with Rondo - he gives Rondo a post threat to keep defenses at home. The combination of KG and Jefferson would be very good blend. We'd need a Perk replacement, but that's gettable (e.g. sign Darko.)

Without much effort I came up with three better trades for Minnesota in terms of finding players who fit better than Z-bo, and also save money:

1. Big Al to Charlotte for Boris Diaw and Gerald Henderson

2. Big Al to Denver for J.R. Smith and Chris Andersen

3. Big Al to Phoenix for Jason Richardson (obviously only if Amar'e leaves)

What if we traded Jefferson and gomes back for KG. Obviously its a nonsense idea, but would you do it? KG would obviously refuse the deal, but just from a talent standpoint.

We don't seem to have a enough for a straight up trade for Big Al, so there would need to be a 3rd team involved. I'd like to see Perk stay here since he would motivate his best friend. Our best trade assets would be -

Big Baby
19# Pick
Wallace (hopefully retiring)

Perhaps a sign and trade with Tony or Nate.

This is a classic buy low opportunity for Big AL and we should pounce if there is a 3rd Team who can fit into this deal to give minny cap relief and/or a good player.

I don't want Al Jefferson back. He's too much of an injury risk and at such a young age too.

It's understandable if an older player has some injury concerns.

Also, Al Jefferson's game is not suited for Rondo.

Al Jefferson's game is boring. He has no real hops and doesn't run the break.

An aging KG still runs the break.

You don't need 5 players to run the break.

Seems like Big Al has very little trade value right now. Wonder if they'll be able to unload him for much of anything.

I kinda think any Jefferson to Boston deal is unlikely just because of the kind of flack Sota would get for it.  Boston seems like the least likely trade partner for them.

I still secretly hope that Kahn gets desperate to sell tickets and therefore wants to bring the Big Ticket back for his final two season.

Al, Sessions, 16 for KG?

I agree they would never take KG back in a direct swap b/c of the bad press....but if they get value back for AL, I don't think they would care the boston is involved....in fact, they might actually have a 'you can have him' attitude if they are low on him now.

KG makes no sense b.c they dont need a crippled vet to help them win 30 games, if that.

Id love a big man rotation of KG, Perk, AL...and one more defensive/rebounding filler guy not named Sheldon.....
