I'm sure this has been covered somewhere and I know he hasn't had an operation yet, but what is the typical recovery time for the kinds of torn ligaments he's got?

keep in mind, I never did well in science, so I'm just looking for ballpark numbers.  A year?  Less?  More?  Is it like a knee injury where he could be playing but not at full speed until a number of months later?

thanks

(and mods, feel free to add this to another post if I'm doubling up a topic)

I've always thought of this type of injury being a 4 to 6 month thing and rehab.  The length of the rehab depends on the individual.

Am I far off?  Doctor?

I don't think I've read anything official. I think after he has the MRI when he gets home we should know. What I've read on here with people who know something about the current diagnosis is that he doesn't need surgery and should be back early next year.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.
