I'm going to echo another recent post of mine: The amount of times this year that this team beat the odds, surprised the pundits, and proved the naysayers wrong, is enough proof for me to see that they not only have plenty of gas left in the tank, but are still the best team in the NBA.
It's extremely difficult to compete on a level playing surface and win consistently in this NBA, and the times the C's did so playing five-on-eight this season is just amazing ... unfortunately, the last such game had influences beyond even those normal inbalances at work in favor of the opponents.
The more I ponder everything that went down this year and how the Celtics nonetheless made it four points short of another championship, the more I admire, praise and love this incredible group of guys. This a team that lost the Championship by four points under an immense amount of very questionable circumstances is considered "done", I hate to think what condition the rest of the NBA is in!
This team is not remotely at the end of it's heyday, and the coming season will prove once again what they keep proving to the doubters time and time again: That they just plain don't know what they're talking about!
Go Celtics!!
