Championship Game 7 Matchups

This is not about who's better in the regular season, post-season or the NBA Finals. This is about whom you think will be better in Game 7 of the NBA Finals with the Championship on the line! (i.e. factoring in mental toughness, ability under pressure, etc.)

RW vs AB -- Slight Edge Lakers
KG vs PG -- Slight Edge Celtics, yes Pau is a better player overall but I envision him not being able to handle a Championship Game 7 as well as KG
PP vs RA -- Is this really even a contest? PP will go berserk Game 7 vs LeBron 2008 style
RA vs KB -- Advantage Lakers, but BIG advantage if Ray is having an off shooting night
RR vs DF -- Big Advantage Celtics, Rondo needs to play like he did in Game 4 vs Cleveland in 2010

BB vs LO -- Advantage Celtics, Shrek!!!!
TA & NR vs JF & SV -- Probably Lakers since they have Home Court

I see this as 4 All-Stars vs 2 (maybe even 1 if Pau is soft mentally and physically this game). Play good D, hit your layups, get 50-50 balls, rebound, stay out of foul trouble and we should win this despite Perk being out.

In my opinion, I'd flip the first two.

Why do people think Gasol will fold under the pressures of game 7?  Don't get me wrong.  I'd love it but he has championship success both in the NBA and international play.  I think he'll be ready.

Also, I'm done underestimating Derek Fisher in the playoffs.  I hate him but for years I've said he's their weakest link and he always comes up big at some point.  Not necessarily the winning shot (though he's capable) but those timely three pointers when the other team is gaining momentum that turn a five point lead into an 8 point lead.  I can only hope that game 3 was his moment to shine in this series.

Bynum over Sheed? Really? I just re-watched the 4th quarter of the Pistons-Spurs 2005 game 7 and Sheed basically carried his team on his back offensively in the 4th, he was the only Piston making shots and looking confident. Granted, it was 5 years ago, he is older and has a lingering back injury but as far as mental toughness is involved, I will trust Sheed over Bynum (young player, always hurt, who has never been in that situation and who claimed a week ago that game 5 was the biggest game of his career).
