Why can't this group overcome deficits?

I could be wrong, but it seems as though as soon as they get down in the first quarter, they typically stay down. Why is that?

This Celtics team is all about effort and cohesion. It's like Doc always tells them when they play hard and together they typically don't lose and you can normally see if they are doing that in the first quarter. It sets the tone for the game and although they can lose when they play hard and together normally they don't. If they don't play hard though you see it from the opening tip and they lose
