Does anybody hate this guy as much as I do?

Every time I see him getting ready to come in at the scorer's table a feeling of dread comes over me. Every time he touches the ball, I cringe. He can't hit a jumper. He can't cant get a layup. He can't dunk. He can't get a rebound. How could one player be so pathetic???

We need a GOOD backup center. I love Sheed but that mouth of his...and his ability to rack up multiple fouls in such a small amount of minutes is just a mess.

I don't hate him. I simply don't believe he belongs in the NBA.

  • Rondo = Good
He sucks.  So?  He's our 5th big, what did you expect?

This is like last year when people were surprised Mikki Moore wasn't any good.  Neither Shelden nor Mikki were ever meant to play minutes in important games.  When they do, it means the Celtics are in trouble.

I like Shelden if it means that rotation bigs can relax on the bench in garbage time.

He showed his bad hands again today.

Can't be too tough on the missed dunk though with Rondo doing the same.

No. Its unacceptable. I don't care if he's the 1st big or the 5th.

I wasn't expecting outstanding. I wasn't expecting great. I wasn't expecting good. Honestly, I was barely expecting AVERAGE. I've seen him play.

What I was expecting was for someone 6'9 to be able to DUNK the ball.

And yes Rondo was horrific too, he's definitely not immune to my hate right now. Way too many missed layups. I'm fair lol

Why would he be average? He is just filling a roster spot with a big. He only plays when there are injuries. Of course he is below average. If he weren't, we would actually have to pay him an average NBA salary.

He clearly cannot deal with the speed and intensity of playoff basketball.

Well, I cannot agree with this thread..Yes Shelden hasn't played well or often this post-season, but he certainly did help us win a few games while Glen was out earlier this season.

I guess this makes sense. It was just so frustrating watching him tonight. SMH.

I wonder if it is too late to activate Scalabrine.

I don't think so. They activated him in the Magic series.

Should you be in the NBA if the best basketball player in your family is your wife????

I don't hate him. He was my regular season binkie hands of stone and all. He's a nice hardworking kid and had a solid start to the season with Baby out. But he's definitely out of his league on the road in the finals although he is low on the list of our worries tonight. Game 2 stretch actually hurt more since he killed our momentum. Nothing he did tonight really hurt since the team was already DOA.
Tommy: He's got a line about me. Tell him the line.

Mike: Everybody 60 or over knows Tommy as a player. Everybody 40 or over knows Tommy as a coach. Everybody 20 or over knows Tommy as a broadcaster. And everybody 10 or under thinks he's Shrek.

im sorry but Shelden is absolutley horrible.. and he has been all season.. yeah the kid works hard but that has translated into absolutely nothing, maybe a few rebounds..

it pains me to hear people on the radio say "put in shelden" over sheed this year.. he is awful and ive been saying it all season.. i dont know how someone who works so hard can be so bad.. awful

Shelden's play has been unacceptable.  Candace Parker should file for divorce and then dunk on him.
