Overlooked in all the talk about the collective effort of the C's, Sheed was really key in our win. He played only 15 minutes and he got 5 points and 4 rebonds but he played tremendous individual and help defense once again (seriously, he totally kept Bynum and Gasol in check), and he hit a huge, huge 3 pointer at the start of the 4th, when the Lakers just missed a shot that would have put them back down by 4 and instead put us up by 9.

Kudos to Sheed once again who has stepped big this postseason. Let's do it once again in L.A in game 6 Sheed!

That 3 in the 4th Q was just insane. I literally yelled when he hit it. DIdn't actually say anything just "BWAGHHHG". It was so beautifully timed.

That coupled with Sheed's defense and rebounding intensity in this series has made me a total Sheed fan.

TP for a thread well deserved, Drucci.

Sheed has been making the most of his minutes of late, and giving us a great boost when he comes on the floor. Perk has been overlooked as well, and, while not scoring a ton, has been doing good defensively and with intangibles, clogging up the paint and making it difficult for the Lakers to dominate in the paint. Big Baby has been great, too .... I'm very proud of all our bigs, (sans Shel).

UNDERRATED:  Gerald Henderson, Paul Silas, Bailey Howell, Dee Brown, Perk, KC Jones

Overrated:
I take exception at the mention of Reggie Lewis and Cedric Maxwell as overrated. Maxwell put the team on his back several times and was Finals MVP in 1981.  Reggie was the only player in the league MJ struggled to guard.

Sherman Douglas was SO overrated-ball hog, couldn't defend

TP, Sheed has really anchored the bench with his interior d, rebounding and efficiency on offense.

Have watched this team in person several times throughout the season and was there last night.  The one thing I notice about Sheed is that he's in shape now.  He's noticeably thinner and I think quicker.

I've been on him since start of the season for not being in shape and apparently not caring, but you can't knock what he's done in the playoffs.  He's been excellent in his role and that's what they went out and got him for in the first place.

Sheed may as well not suit up until March next year.  But when it comes to the big games and the big spots he plays with the best of them.  His defense and rebounding have been HUGE throughout these playoffs, particularly in the Lake and Magic series.

He is providing what the Celtics expected him to this postseason when they signed him.

Celtics win one more game, he was worth his contract.

Sheed has been great!  His defense has been amazing.

I have defended Sheed all year long and said that he would get better as the year went and would be most valuable in the playoffs. He has done that to a huge degree even with his back recently.

I would argue he has ALREADY earned his contract whether we win the whole thing or not.

Depends on how he plays Tuesday, and potentially Thursday.

I do agree that in the playoffs he's given us exactly what the team has needed out of its backup C.

I've been thoroughly impressed with is play since the 2nd round.  He's playing like one of the best big men in the game. Seriously, WOW!

Has he earned his contract?  Well, if he had a two month conract, then yes, but he didn't.  He's certainly earned his playoff paychecks, but he flat-out stole $5.5 million of Wyc's money during the regular season.

They didn't sign him for the regular season.  They signed him for the playoffs.

I can't consider success if the Celtics do not reach their goal.
