I'm leaning towards yes.

I realize there's about a million threads going on right now, but I didn't see this one.

I think it depends on how well the bigs are playing in a particular game.  I don't think you can go into a game thinking Davis is going to get more playing time than KG or Perk.  If KG and/or Perk are struggling to get it done then you play Baby more.

Isn't he already playing more than Perk?  If he isn't, then he certainly brings something that Perk does not.  As for KG, no BBD needs to play less than him.

No, he is just making the most of his minutes, mainly against the reserves.

Baby vs. Odom favors the Celtics.

Baby vs. Gasol or Bynum (who should play significantly more Sunday) favors the Lakers.

Its all about the matchups, and Baby making the most of his last night.

If he's performing, he deserves more minutes.  I was upset when he was pulled for KG in the first half, when Baby was our most effective player in that game.  If Baby is playing like he has been, he should definitely take some of KG's minutes.  KG has been an average player in this series, and Baby has been an impact player.  The extra rest won't hurt KG, anyway.

No.

He should be playing his role that he is doing well at.

There should be no change to the big man rotation.

Baby can get increased minutes without really changing the rotation too much. The OP is still suggesting KG and Perk start, but baby can get more minutes later in the game. Like last night, the rotation was way different, the bench played almost 10 minutes in the fourth.

I think baby and Nate have earned additional minutes, im not thinking baby deserves 40 to KG getting 20, but Baby can get closer to 28-30 minutes a night without really hurting KGs minutes.

You ride the hot hand. Davis and Nate were hot. I'm glad Doc did the right thing.

No.  Glen Davis is an energy and hustle player.  He's not meant to play 30 minutes a game.  He gives you 20-25 really good minutes and gives your starters a rest.

His defense is clearly subpar compared to KG, too.  As good as Davis was last night, he allowed Lamar Odom to go to his left time and again, resulting in a lot of easy buckets.

I like our big rotation right now, though I certainly wouldn't mind seeing Perk playing a bit more.

Actually only twice (not a lot) and Lamar Odom is a really talented player.

But I'm with you regards to keeping everything exactly same although I wouldn't have a problem with him playing alongside KG a little more.  Especially when Perk is too hype and can't even catch a pass without fumbling it.  BBD has the best hands on the team.

We are two wins away from a 2nd NBA championship in three years and have maximum only three more games to play in this season and yet still people are questioning Doc's use of players, his rotations and coaching strategies.

Yeah, sure, why not. Perk playing 26 MPG and KG 30 MPG and Baby 20 MPG in this playoff has been so bad that with 3 games, at most, left in the season, let's change everything up.  ::) ::)

GEESH!!

Two layups in the fourth is two too many. Especially when the rest of the Lakers are struggling mightily.

I think our big rotation is very good as is. I like Doc closing with BBD if Bynum isn't out there. The Lakers are able to help off Perkins/Rondo too easily if both are in the way this series has been going.

The only thing I would change is start Perk on Gasol and KG on Bynum (if he plays).

We saw at the beginning of the 2nd half, Perk physicality really effected Gasol.

Minute wise and rotation wise, they have it down to a point of success.  No need to change that.

Not really.

What is your opinion with regards to Van Gundy and the rest of NBA world commenting on BBDs lightening quick feet and off the charts athletic ability?
