Hello all, I have been cruising this board since early in the playoffs and I figured now would be a good time to drop my "WE ARE TAKING #18" I used to live in NH three years ago, since moved to Oranage County CA. I'm in the belly of the beast here with countless annoying flags on cars and silly kobe jerseys on everyone. Most lakers jerseys I see come with a Yankees cap on the tools head as well. Fans here are bandwagoners and truly don't care about the team, all they want is to sport the best sports team's gear. I went to Game four of the 2008 finals in the staples center, pierce jersey and all. Took all the flak during the first half and marveled at the third quarter. Our boys truly have the talent, and now they have more chemistry. We simply forgot the way to push these Fakers around.

My visions are pierce hammering the lane. and putting himself at the stripe. With ray ray having a nice 50% night spreading the floor, Garnett acounting for half rondos assists, rondo dishing out a double double with rebounds and assists.

The big four are going to send a message tonight.

That message is that the fakers are going to need to win two straight at home to have any chance.
GO CELTS!

Welcome to the blog. And yeah, expect all barrels blazing tonight. Big game tonight. The big game players need to play big.

Paul, Rajon and Kevin: Attack the basket and we will win.

Welcome to the blog. TP. Great post. All I can say is amen.
We are going to win it all. I demand it. There's no other choice because the alternative will force me to crawl into bed and curl up into a depressed little ball and not emerge until the 2011 playoffs start.

It's a nice sentiment, but I can't help feeling that expecting a totally different team to suddenly show up tonight is a little bit naive.

It's a nice sentiment, but I can't help feeling that expecting a totally different team to suddenly show up tonight is a little bit naive.

Ray was taken out of game 1 early with foul troouble
KG was taken out og game 2 early with foul trouble
PP was taken out of game 3 early with foul trouble

I don't think it is naive to think that if they can stay on the floor together for more than 6 mins at a time, the C's still have a legit shot at winning this thing. They havent been able to get into a groove.

But if foul trouble is really the whole problem (I'm not sure I agree), why would there suddenly be no foul trouble?  That's as much a consistent factor as anything else, and I doubt it will change.

Like expecting the team to flip the switch in playoffs?

Hey, not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but I heard of the C's 9 NBA Finals wins against the Lakers....3 of them have been with the C's down 1 to 2 in the series.

That's 3 out of 9 Wins which is 33%

33 is a good number!!!

Welcome sphen22 - I know how you feel, being in the belly of the beast. I was stationed there from Aug06 to July09, and trust me I know all about the Laker fans out there.

I remember going to a water park with my sons in late May of 08. The Celtics were about to put a whupping on LA, and of course the kind LA Fans that were at the park that day made sure that me and my son (which were both sporting Celtics Jerseys at the time) were sprayed the most while on the water rides. ;D

Thanks for the positive thread.

And Congrats to Mr. October for his Three Stars!!

The flip's already been switched.

You think there's another switch they've been hiding in the back for a while now?

I'd like to change the metaphor from "flipping the switch" to "changing a gear".

You know how when you are driving and you change from one gear to another the car slows down a little bit before leaping forward?  That's what happened the last few games, the Celtics have been changing into Finals gear, slowed down momentarily, but now... watch out.

I'm expecting that the Cs will come out like a freight train tonight.
Celtics fan for life.
