Half an hour til tipoff...this one determines if we spend the weekend in anticipation or dread.  Let's hope for the first one.

We got the first one baby!!  ;D

Celtics looked like the better team all night, but we needed the bench to give us a much needed offensive boost.

Also, the overlooked stat of the night: all 5 starters, and Big Baby, had at least 5 rebounds.  Great team effort on the glass - night and day from Game 1.

Effort corrects a lot of ills, fellas.

TREMENDOUS effort tonight from a bunch of people - Rondo, Baby, Pierce, Sheed, Nate.

Two more. Need to sell out on each like this twice more.

This oughta help reduce the Laker trolls in the post-game thread.

  • Doc could learn a thing or two from Norman Dale
Doc's decision to stick with the bench (+Ray) was brilliant.

TA really plays Kobe well.  He'll make mistakes, but he is able to stay with and and has done a great job staying planted on the fakes.  Ecstatic over TA, Baby, Nate and Sheed tonight.  If 3 out of the Big 4 can have decent games all at once, they could dominate one of these next 3 game.

Ray is now miss 14 threes in a row...i predict 7 threes in sunday and comfortable win...then we will see Fakers choke facing elimination in g6...BEAT LA

Question---What are your favorite post-game viewing options? There's SportsCenter, NBAtv, internet for full post-game press conferences. I end up going back and forth between all and missing parts and seeing the same things over and over.

Doc outcoached Phil tonight. He was willing to make changes in the 4th, ride the bench. Phil was late with TO's, as he is apt to do, and wouldn't make substitutions when he had to. Odom was killing The Lakers and he wouldn't replace him (even with Bynum hurt, there are other guys on the bench Mbenga, Walton--who provides much better spacing and passing). Phil's stubbornness really hurt The Lakers tonight. Doc pulled all the right strings.

Ray will be better with more rest. It has been his trend all year. I feel very confident heading into game 5. Should be a classic.

Big Baby with a classic game.

KG's end of half bucket was monstrous. Took a lot of stones for Pierce to hit that shot after being on the pine for so long. What a gamer.

"The Lakers would have won if Bynum was playing!"

They might have.  Not having Bynum changes the dynamics of their team.  Obviously the C's CAN win v. Bynum (they did win Game 2), but when they can't rotate the 3 bigs and keep them fresh, it helps the C's a ton.

Andrew Bynum played only 2 minutes in the whole of the second half.

If he can't go, and play at least 20 minutes a night, the Celtics are the large favourite in every game from here on out.

OMG...Wow, Doc has balls of steal. I have never been a huge Doc supporter, but wow, he did what I would have never done, left 4 of our 5 starters on bench for most of 4th quarter. We have to give Doc huge props for that. That was a monster coaching decision and he was dead on with the call. Doc, you were big time with the lineups tonight. Thank you!

Big Baby needs a new nickname as well. I still think of him as Big Baby but OMG..he is Big Time..I love his heart, and Big Desire....BD..Big Desire is more fitting for what he brings to our team.

I believe in this team and I believe our next game will be our first 30 plus point blow out of the series....watch out..Celtics by 31 in the next game and we will win it in 6th..if we dont..7 will have to do!

go Celtics! Big TP to Doc for big balls of steel in the 4th quarter...Get Ready Celtics Fans...number 18 is approaching!

I'd tp you again if I could. I always get that running but end up watching commentary on ESPN and NBAtv, going back and forth, muting and seeing the same interviews over and over---I gotta see what McHale has to say on Nbatv right? ;)
