The Lakers look very soft in their interior defense with Bynum on the bench.

Keep attacking the rim. Dribble penetration.

Good point. We're missing layups. But we're getting layups.

Overall though - this Boston offense leaves a LOT to be desired. Needs some retooling this summer.

  • It's not hard to work hard.
Unbelievable. NBA should administer retroactive techs for flops like that.

Was it a flop? Looked like Pau-boy fell on his kiester. Could have taken a slide. P-poor call, regardless.

Nate!

Overall, there was a lot of good and a lot of bad in that quarter.  Hopefully we continue to go to the Captain, and Ray gets it going.

Wow.  Horrific call there.  Hopefully we get some makeup calls, because the refs should be embarrassed.

He just pulled the chair out from under him.

But can I just take the time to compliment Sheed's defense on Gasol this series? It's been stellar. (And I'm one of his biggest critics).

Fouls on our bigs every single time Gasol trips over his own shoe laces. Pathetic.

Wow, a end of the quarter shot that resulted in a good look and a bucket? That's amazing and really nice to see! Nice shot by Nate.

Up 3 after one quarter, we got great looks on a lot of our possessions, just missed some wide open shots or layups. Good defense so far and refs letting teams plays (except for the Gasol flop). Hopefully we keep it up and start making our shots.

Don't ya know?
Gasol is a finesse player.
Finesse players don't trip, they MUST be fouled.

Well, Sheed's toe did tap Gasol on the shin.  But the ref did what Tommy would call "guessing".  Bad whistle there.  But refereeing has been pretty good so far.

Anyway, we've got the lead, Pierce looks good, no foul trouble.  Not a bad start.

That said - we're going a better and better job on him.

Since when did Gasol start drawing LeBron/Wade/Bryant type superstar calls?

These refs are complete and utter BUFFOOOnS!!!!!
true, but at least this collection of buffoons is letting them play for the most part.  that call on Sheed was horrific and I don't see how BBD didn't get fouled on his shot attempt earlier but C's are not getting whistled either (for the most part).

what's scary is that Ray is still stinking the joint up.  Need someone besides PP to step up on offense and soon

Yes, he plays great defense on Gasol.

Is it just me, or does he really look a bit leaner oompared to the regular season?
In the summer of 2017, I predicted this team would not win a championship for the next 10 years.

3 down, 7 to go.
