Well it almost happened... a Doc time-out away to be exact. Regardless, he brought it. I'm fine with all his talking, when he's talking he's pumped up to perform, and he more often than not delivers.
I agree with your point, but IMO it doesn't matter whether it almost happens or not, nor whether he brings it or not. The only things that matter are whether we get the W's or not and whether or not the team brings it. He's not making personal guarantees here, he's making team guarantees. And simply, his last one in Orlando was wrong. I do really like the confidence and swagger, but as the cliche goes, talk is cheap. Especially when the last time he uttered the same exact statement, he was wrong.
But don't get me wrong, I'm still glad he said it. I think we need that kind of confidence and swagger and that it pumps them up really believing in that.
