The refs haven't been a huge factor, but you can't tell me that things have been called the same for both teams.

They have been a factor in that all are bigs are in foul trouble. Have been bad calls for both sides. Biggest issue has been when they've been calling fouls. A few on Fisher on the perimeter etc but C's aren't getting calls in the paint whereas the Lakers are (see those two clean blocks). RIght now its 24-17 fouls called for LA and 35-13 FT's LA. It is when the calls are being made that is a little rough. Just aren't getting whistles in the paint.
Kobe's 4th was a bad call

That said, it isn't a conspiracy. Just bad officiating.

I disagree.  the refs have been a very big factor.  they're calling ridiculous ticky tack calls on the C's big men but nothing on the Laker's big men.  It's preventing the C's from playing any meaningful defense.  The Laker's are only rotating 3 players in the PF/C spots and they haven't been called for squat

kobe's 4th was a joke, but the refs have one guy in LA in foul trouble (admittedly, their best player), while they've put our entire front court in trouble with bad calls, which are clearly affecting how aggressive we are on defense. van gundy said we need to be more aggressive without fouling - i don't know how we do that tonight. game 1, LA beat us soundly, though ray's fouls were sketchy. tonight, if we lose, the refs are responsible. they have consistently called the game in LA's favor and the foul trouble has caused us to not play aggressive on defense.

No disrespect intended, Hobbs but... what game have you been watching? In what world should the Lakers have taken 22 more FTs than us? That's a huge factor in my book.

Refreeing has been bad, but the mismatch between the Celts' and Lakers big men is astounding. KG is the 1,000 year old man and Perk has disappeared from the face of the earth. ???

KG has barely been on the floor this game. Our entire frontline has 4 fouls, save for Shelden...

Disagree. Shelden Williams had to play because of garbage touch fouls. That's a huge factor in my eyes.

Referees are totally out of control and are doing their best to kill this game.

These have been two terrible games for the refs. Some good calls but mostly, they've damaged the viewing experience.

Hockey, baseball, football - none of the other majors have this problem.

Anyone who really believes the refs in the NBA are not incompetent at the very least only has to look at this thread. Celtics fans complaining about a call AGAINST Kobe. That's how bad it was.

I really, really dislike the NBA now. Such a great sport ruined by this ridiculous officiating. Game after game after game. Win, lose, whatever - this game is a disgrace.

What the heck has happened to Garnett? His play has fallen off the ledge compared to the rest of his work in the playoffs.

Perk is disappointing but not that far removed from his general play over the last few months.

35-13 on free throws. Just like one of the finals games in 2008 when the Celts had like 30 more. NBA, where evening things out happens.

Just another evenly officiated game by competent officials.
