Last I read, Scal wasn't 100% healthy, and was pretty hurt actually, and would never have dressed had Daniels not gotten injured. I doubt we even see him in a blowout.

You might have gotten more "yes" votes if the question was "Do you think Scal will even get into a game in these Finals?" but even then I doubt it would be a lot more "yes" votes.

True.  I don't disagree with any opinions on Scal here, except that we need bench players that can spread the floor, and have few options there.  If the backup wings get minutes with the starters due to Ray/PP foul trouble (due to guarding Kobe), we end up with only either PP or Ray as a 3pt threat on the court (next to Rondo, KG, TA or Quisy, and Perk).  The offense will be stagnant without several 3pt shooters to create space.  If we have to sub out Rondo or Perk when TA/Quisy come in, we'll have some lineups out there getting extended minutes that may not be preferred.

FWIW, I think a Nate/Sheed s/r will rack up points if Ray/PP/KG are still on the floor spotting up.

I'd much rather see sheldon than scal...sheldon is solid, rebounds, can shoot the 10 footer, and dunk any time any place..!!! And yes, i expect to be blasted for my sheldon faith..to me, he is  the second coming of Leon Powe..if only doc would play him. I have to say it...12 points, in 12 minutes, vs SA late in the season, did scal ever get 12 points in a game..? All on rebounds..? maybe not all on rebounds..i like to stretch the story for emphasis..! But how can ya hate a guy that does that, in limited minutes...then doc soundly benched him for the rest of the game.....that is perplexing..!

I feel Scal is a viable option at the wing.  The fact of the matter is that despite being talented, the Lakers are big and slow at the 3 with Artest, Odom, and Walton.  Quite frankly, Scal could stay with any of them speed-wise.  If TA keeps making boneheaded mistakes and Finley continues to be ineffective, Scal wouldn't be horrible.  He could guard Odom/Artest/Walton even when Ray is out, letting Pierce slide to Kobe.

Scalabrine? Are you kidding?
Sheldon Williams? Are you joking?

If your a Lakers fan out there, would you post the question:  "Will Adam Morrison make a difference in a Lakers championship?"

I like Sheldon, and watching him in his limited minutes I saw very good things. For one, offensive rebounds, ones that no one else on our team except rondo goes for. He is always in good position for them, and rondo has shown his respect for sheldon by looking for him aand dishing to him often, remember sheldon has very limited minutes, which makes a player less than totally confident, so you get less of his full skill set.

BBD is a prime example of more minutes, more game. At first, he gave us nothing, and no one passed to him either. The more he was out there, the more he did, got more passes, developed an almost decent 10 footer. Sheldon rebounds better than bbd, can dunk way better, has more post moves to keep from getting his shot blocked, most often gets an "and 1" on his rebounds, put backs. /i was here saying the exact same thing about Leon Powe, you have to look harder to see the talent when a guy gets no minutes. Doc has been good, but he is no genuis, and has shown that he has tremendious ego's to deal with also (team chemistry probs) (was the PC term) bbd plays more than sheldon because he has a big $$$ contract.....management wants to see the money being earned. BBD needs to develop a lot more to earn that money, lose the weight, get a quicker, higher, faster jump, better dribble, more post moves, more dependable shot, all things that he can do...if he wants it. This isn't an after work league you know. Besides, how do i know all of this, I developed all of these ....for myself and my team....AFTER work, so if i can do it, fat-boy can do it also...!

know there are a lot of scal supporters out here. How does he spread the floor? I don't get it. By not going for rebounds? By running down the floor and just standing in the corner waiting for the ball, like a 10 year old kid trying to imitate Ray Allen? Even Ray doesn't sit there, if the play moves to the other side. And lets look at scal % attempts vs made ones.....not even good. He doesn't spread nothing, because no one goes to guard him, because they think he is a joke in the corner, he should bring a chair and a dunce cap, sit facing the crowd.

From a Sentimental Standpoint, yep I'd love to see Scal in a game, hittting big shots, like I'm sure we all would.

From a practical standpoint, I'd be surprised to see him - he hasn't played at all this playoffs, has he?

The funny thing with Scal, though, is if we do see him - he will Be Ready - every single time I've seen him inserted in a game after a long absence, that man somehow contributes big time.
