I don't know, but any of you tempted to want to lose game 1, even if it's just for a micro second, just so we can go and break that crappy record of Phil Jackson of him winning a playoff series when he wins game 1?

Has Phil ever been swept? I would like that too. Also, apparently he and Kobe have tied a record for more playoff wins between a coach and player. A sweep would certainly serve it's purpose.

There is nothing we can take from Phil that matters to him, not after last year when he passed Red for the most winning coach of all time.

Allthough the Lakers feels as though he's a Laker though and though i dont believe that, that man is NewYork and Chicago property until he wins atleast 2-3 more rings with the Lakers.
As talked about as the Laker championships were in the early 00's it just does not compare with the story about the Willis Reed team or the Championships with Michael Jordan.

He might be coaching the Lakers but when its all said and done 10 years after he retires, your not going to mention the Lakers first when talking about Phil Jackson.

Yep. But they keep mentioning it on TV, I just want to shut them up. Let's get going before more moronic ideas creep into my mind.

On a slightly different topic regarding Phil Jackson, i really do hope he coaches next year and faces off against the Sixers.

Doug Collins must still HATE that man with a passion after Phil Jackson stole his Chicago carrer after Collins was ejected during a game (cant remember what game or against who) But what i do remember is Phil Jackson would coach that team after he got ejected and every team member saying they won because of Phil Jackson and the fact that he stressed defense above everything else.

Has doug Collins actualy won against Phil Jackson? does anyone know?

Talk about dumb statements. He is about to win 5 rings with the Lakers. He's also the winningest coach in Laker history.

I don't know - a lil' too early to be talking about 5, ya think?

Jeez....it isn't over.

Let me finish the sentence: Losing game 1...doesn't mean this series is over. A long way to go. We take game 2 and a split is all anyone could ask for. Even not...There is a lot of basketball left to be played. Jeez...

Part one of your plan is complete. Now all we need to do is to complete part two. Every record is bound to be broken sometime.

No, it isn't.

Phil is now and always Jordon's coach first.  Laker's coach 2nd.  Player third.
