What's up with the C's hate?

Have you guys noticed most neutrals detest the Celtics and overwhelmingly prefer the Lakers in the finals for some reason?

I don't understand it.

Boston is looked at as a trash talking thug team.


Strange thing is I can't think of any Celtic that's jumped into the stands and knocked the crap out of the fans.

Or has been in a sexual assault case.

Most casual fans like watching offense and not defense. So a team like the Lakers will be more entertaining to them.

Other team's fans have gone from sympathizing with the T-Wolves KG, to hating KG - they see him as a loudmouth frontrunner who pretends to be tough. They think Perkins whines too much to the officials, and Pierce is a flopper. Even Rondo is seen as something of a thug for his fouls in the Chicago series last year (although he's seen more charitably, I think). And of course everybody knows Sheed won't shut up.

Of course - part of it is just that the Celtics are very verbal, very confident and have backed it up on the court.

It's not just the fans either. The Celtics are - bar none - the most loathed team within NBA circles. Other teams HATE the Celtics. Other players LOVED seeing Boston struggle this year.

Which is why the hate built up again quickly with the resurgence of the Celtics in the playoffs.

It'll be so satisfying if the C's can take care of business in the finals and give everyone a summer to loathe them all over again.

I think they're just jealous, with Boston teams winning so much the past decade.  That's why they all hate KG now, even though he hasn't changed a bit since coming here.

This just proves that we must be doing something right....its plain jealousy and envy. I don't care how many banners a team has in its rafters or how many rings a player has...the swagger, the pride, the heart of a Celtic can not be matched. They can only sit back and seethe in anger and envy.
