All week the Celtics have been saying they’re not this years Bruins, that the NBA and NHL are completely different and that they have no plans on blowing a 3-0 lead.

The Celtics were back home in Boston Thursday and have seen their once commanding three games to none series lead turn into a 3-2 lead. The momentum has completely swung towards the magic. The Celtics got beat up last night and were completely taken out of their game by Orlando. http://www.myfoxboston.com/dpp/sports/nba/celtics/are-celtics-fans-panicking-20100527

I don't believe momentum carries from game to game.  Remember the Cleveland series?

Redz, you just ruined that quote.

What the fly really said was "The magic suck, but not I. Nor the Celtics. Thurrfurr, No need to panic."

;)

The momentum hasn't swung...we need one game, Orlando needs two games.  Advantage Celtics.  (Unless, of course, it is advantage crooked Ref with the help of Howard's elbow...naaaa) advantage Celtics.  If the refs are as bad as they were at the last game, they better get to Logan quickly after the game and maybe wear a paper bag over their heads so no one will recognize them on the way, ha ha ha.

Evidently though, the fix is in, because President Obama has called the final to be the Lakers over the Celtics.  Don't know if Obama knows basketball as well as they say he does, maybe he just knows Stern really well.

Based upon the blog posts over the past 24+ hours, I'd say that there's at least a little panic going on.

Right now it's a slight worry.  If they lose tonight, yes, it will be panic.

I see more anger than panicking.

I have concerns about this team right now.  I believe they will win, but I have concerns.

If they lose tonight, it will be over and not in our favor.  And frankly yes, I am already in a panic.  I knew this was a liklihood the minute the Celts lost game 4.

  • BEAT L.A.! Yankees s****!
As a Boston fan, I'm always worried in these types of situations. I simply could not deal with two chokes (first the Bruins, then the Celts) of epic proportions in one season. Come on, when does that ever happen....and in the same city??? No way, I refuse to panic, I have confidence in the boys in green, they'll get it done tonight and move on to play the Lakers in the finals.
I believe in God, Family, and The RED SOX!

If there is one team in the playoffs that could still win game 7 it's the C's.  They're still the team that owned games 1-3.  Hopefully they have all their players available.

Tonight would be a good time to put them away though.

I feel very confident about tonight. I'm getting antsy waiting for the game though.

I still feel confident we've got this.  KG's and Ray aren't always going to be missing open shots, and Rondo/Tony have looked a little slow and less aggressive which I assume is related to the various injuries they're nursing.

No excuses, but I feel good knowing the C's have managed to hang around in the last two games despite the fact that they weren't playing well.

The C's have got this.
