I have an awful lot of trust in these guys that they'll pull through in Game 6. Say what you want about this group, but come playoff time they have a pretty amazing record in gut check games.
Games 5 & 7 the first two rounds in 2008 We all had our doubts about this team in the games preceding each of these. Why can't they win on the road? The road loss streak brought huge pressure on the Celtics to maximize their home court advantage. 4 gut checks, 4 wins.
They came up big in Game 3 in Detroit in `08. After losing at home in Game 2, the road woes albatross was lurking, and the C's came up big in Motown. 5 gut checks, 5 wins.
The Finals vs the Lakers...Game 4...Need I say more?
6 gut checks, 6 wins
Last year was pretty much 14 playoff games of gutchecks. Minus KG it wasa struggle all the way, but the C's had a number of "dig down deep" moments before running out of steam against the Magic.
Not sure how to score that on my gutcheck record

Anyhow...my point continues to this year. Game 4 vs Cleveland after being embarrassed at home the game before, coming up big, then taking charge in Game 5.
This round Game 4 was a bummer, but acceptable given the desperation the Magic played with.
Game 5 was somewhat predictable. The Magic coming home after winning a huge Game 3 - the Magic should win that game.
I am hugely confident in a Game 6 victory.
Game 6: GUT CHECK TIME!
The Celtics have been really, really good in games that they've needed to be really good in. They showed me enough in the first two rounds, and the start of this series, that they have it in them to step up NOW.
