all members of the Supergirl fan club need to open their eyes...he has elbowed numerous Celtics in the head and neck...what really gets me is the take-downs...he took Pierce down twice and Perk once in the last 2 games...following thru and twisting their arms behind their backs as they fall down...why do you think pierce and perk bounced up right away and got so upset...go ask pierce and perk what they think before you defend Supergirl...what are you even watching...Supergirl is a cheap shot artist and coward...

I love how he acts so innocent. On the replays it looks accidental contact cause he's looking away when dropping those elbows. I wouldn't doubt if its premeditated. He's a thug like that. And Perk is the one with the bad rep.

Quote
Howard, meanwhile, was unaware what was going on.

“I was looking for him because that was my man,” Howard said. “When I saw him down I was like, ‘Oh, man.’ I didn’t know what to do. I wanted to help him but he’s on the other team. I don’t know. I tried to stay back and just wait.

“I hope he’s OK. He’s one of my friends. You never want to see anybody, especially a friend, go down like that. Like I said, I hope he’s OK.”

It's official. Howard has shot past Lebron, Kobe and JO to the top of my hate list.
It is shocking that people read this quote and then hate him. Especially when you have a fan quote admitting Howard wasn't looking at Baby when the incident happened.

Some people just want to hate.

Just because Howard now says that he wasn't looking to elbow BBD doesn't mean that he actually means it...it could be a cop out...it could also be true but his elbows are always very active...in every game.

And how can anybody just hate for the heck of it...you are always there to call out the "haters" ..you keep us grounded ::)

Doc just needs to "mention" it to the media, the way Phil Jackson "mentions" things to the media.

Doc should have been doing this all along.

well, he did mention it tonight, saying he didn't realize what howard was doing was legal (when asked about howard's elbows and celtic injuries). i suspect the league will tell the refs to watch howard closely in game 6. if he's still allowed to be wild, i suspect things could get very ugly very quickly.

He gets called for NOTHING...Early in the game, he landed right on top of Rondo after blocking his layup attempt-NO FOUL-!...Then he PURPOSELY hits Rondo in the face on Rondo's floater..Foul on the other player...then, he Elbows Baby and then hurts Pierce...and the refs do NOTHING.

This is THE most CROOKED crap I have ever seen in this crooked league.
That first one you mention was an obvious non call unless the ref is a Celtics fan. Howard's block was clean. Rondo came down on Howard's leg.

There was also nothing to call on the elbow to baby. Howard can remain levitating in the air. He has to come down when he jumps. That's what happens when you stand planted on the floor underneath a guy who jumps really high when rebounding.

Unfortunately, the refs are not wearing Celtics fan glasses.

Complain about the bad Tech call against Perk.

Trying to single out Howard sounds bizarre considering Howard gets into foul trouble all the time.

Howard knows that he's coming down with those elbows hard. And he does it hoping that people are there. He's not an idiot, he's been playing basketball a long time. Dwight knows exactly where his elbows are and where defenders are. Defending him after this game is a joke and anyone who does ought to be ashamed. He slapped rondo in the face earlier in the game, purposely elbowed pierce in the face and then gave baby a concussion. All while visibly [peeved] off in a physical game where elbows were being thrown. If you think dwight howard's elbows were completely accidental, you're simply a fool.

Have another TP...hate to say it but I've never seen a single post where Mr. Wrench thinks that the refs missed a call....he makes it a point to call out anyone who thinks that the refs were "off the mark"....actually he doesn't call them out..he just mocks them.

Agree ... it's pretty much all been said in this thread so far, but I can't stand the guy and how the league strokes him. I mean, all this crap he dished out tonight, all the PF's we got tonight, and he comes away with only two personal fouls?!? Give me a break ... if anyone should have been in foul trouble, it was him!!  :P

It's not even about intent for me. It's because he gives this "touching" little soundbite while completely glossing over the fact that he caused an injury to someone he claims is a friend. If I gave someone a severe concussion, intentional or not, I'd show a heck of a lot more remorse beyond a generic I hope he's OK.

Howard is dirty, overrated and a loser. He quickly has jumped into my top 5 of "most hated players" in the span of one series.

I think he's a dirty player. These aren't accidents and he has his elbows are up in people's faces all the time.

What he says is irrelevant.

Technically, the title of this thread is libelous, unless the OP has evidence of a criminal past that I'm unaware of.

Disappointing this one hasn't been locked and taken down.

Speaking as a lawyer, I have to say that what is disappointing is that Dwight Howard has not been brought up on charges before the International Criminal Court for his numerous crimes in violation of the Geneva Convention.

I also think it's a shame he has not been arrested in connection with the human corpses he keeps buried in his crawlspace.

How is this jerk in the NBA? He's knocking people out of the game with his physical (read-dirty) play, and ends up with only three fouls. If there were referees at the game, he would've been long fouled out. He is an overgrown, unskilled oaf and makes a ton of money for not being able to shoot. Just like Shaq, he couldn't score if he didn't dunk the ball.

get a grip, people. howard isn't a thug or a criminal. he's simply a dirty player...or at least is allowed to play dirty. call him out for what he clearly is doing (throwing elbows recklessly). i actually don't think many of them are intentional per se, but the fact that he doesn't get called for them tells him he can be reckless with them, which makes matters worse. so, yeah, call him out for being allowed to play dirty. don't resort to middle school crap and call him a thug and a criminal. he's neither of those.

This is a pretty most apt description.  I will say though that the Christian thing is a bit ironic with the way he plays.
