I just heard him say this several times on the radio. I would not be shocked if kobe guarded rondo but not the other way around.He mentioned rondo and pierce guarding him. I would guess it's ray to start. where is this coming from? I know rondo could get stuck with kobe in transition but he was not referring to this. This type of gameplan would go against celtic basketball. We do not worry about the other team. We don't change who we are.

nope...kobe might defend rondo..but ray will get much and tony will get most of the time on Kobe. this is the series we might see daniels get some burn on artest and kobe

Must be a local guy never heard of him but, there less than 0% of that happening.  Although I guess technically there will be times when he will guard him on switches or in transition.

Kobester is going to have Paul draped all over him.

No.  We don't need Rondo getting posted up.  Ray will have his hands full but I think he can do a decent job.  Rondo will have to do his best to burn Fisher repeatedly and zip past Bynum's torn meniscus.

Not to mention we can't afford to have Rondo get in foul trouble.  I'd expect Phil Jackson to put a lot of pressure on Tony Allens ball handling if he got stuck playing PG for an extended period of time.

Rondo struggles with PGs like Rose he would get posted up every time down the court.  The concept lacks logic.

Was he talking about Rondo covering Kobe one-on-one, or the team doing some double-teams?  It does seem kind of a waste to leave Rondo on D-Fish; could almost see Rondo playing a little bit of free safety at times.

D-Fish has made a living burying 3pters against teams that 'doubled' and left him alone. He has burned us the same way. We dont need to double Kobe, trap him yes, Ray and TA will take care of him and Pierce/TA will have Artest.

Rondo and KG will pressure the Lakers. Gasol will struggle against KG and Bynum will stay in Foul trouble against Perk and Baby. Sheed will also give Gasol trouble.
