I am normally a preacher of focusing on 1 game at a time, but I have been convinced to look bigger. The players can look one game at a time.

This Celtic team is extremely focused and aside from 1 slip up, when James put on one of the greatest single game performances I have ever seen in the playoffs, the Celtics have been playing 1 game at a time, with great intensity.

From what I have witnessed in these last 2 series, this Celtic team is playing just as well if not greater than the 2008 Celtics. Yes I said it. Better than 2008.

The Celtics are road warriors - a far better road team than 2008.

Comparing 2008 Rondo to 2010 Rondo is like comparing an OK role player to a legit all star, who is blossoming into a superstar.

The body language in the crunch on this team is better than 2008, due to the added confidence of knowing that they have "been there before". You should not underestimate that level of confidence. Only the Lakers share that level of confidence and experience.

I do not fear Orlando.
I do not fear Los Angeles.
I do not fear Phoenix.

Sure any team can win it, and sure the Celtics will be hard pressed on the road, but I don't think any team in the NBA can beat this Celtic team 4 times in any arena.

Go Celtics!!!

There's not a team out there that can beat us if we play like we did in the Cleveland series.

Agreed.

I'm not bold enough to make a statement which underestimates the other 3 teams remaining, but I fear none of them.

Oh I completely respect our upcoming opponents and expect all series to be 6-7 game battles. Yet at the same time I have extreme confidence in this Celtic team.

LA is a much much better team than Cleveland or Orlando. Sure we beat them in 08 but that was without Bynum or Artest. They match up equal to us in length and depth in the frontcourt. They have Artest to defend Pierce and still have the four time champ Kobe.
We will not be able to shut them out defensivly like we did the Cavs.

That said I still like our chances. Go Celtics.

I think you're overrating the Lakers.

I'm getting the same feeling. I can't present x's and o's and things of that sort, but i do know what a championship calibur team looks like. This Celtic team appears as though they're poised to win it all. It's also good to know that we have not lost a playoff series yet when everybody is healthy.

I think the Lakers would be a very tough matchup that could go either way but I don't think they are that much better than Orlando or Cleveland.

Although, they are much better than the Cleveland team the Celtics just defeated.

Nah. You ever see that NBA promo where Pierce keeps saying "We never give up" " We never give in" "Never underestimate the heart of a champion"?

Well the Lakers are still the champs. They have made the finals the last two consecutive years. You cant overrate the champions. Everyone in Cleveland is realizing that this morning.

tp for mr. october! i agree with him. i predicted the celtics in 6 games over cleveland as long as the celtics played with intensity, intelligence, and passion.

as long as they play defense as well as they can, they can beat any team in the nba right now.

the celtics can win it all IF IF IF they continue to play defense and team basketball in the same way they played against cleveland.

go celtics!!!  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

I don't think LAL is better than ORL or CLE.

In terms of the CLE team the Celts beat - maybe that team was built for the regular season and not the post season. A lot of turn over, an over reliance on one guy to get his offense (Hollinger had an article about this w/r/t Roy and JJ) - no backup star, just a cast of good bench players. I can buy that this type of setup translates poorly to the post season generally - but they still were that same team from the regular season. Gotta give some credit to the C's who appear to have turned things up since game 82.

LAL's Bynum has some sort of knee injury and Artest is VASTLY overrated at this point.... it's not like Ariza lit things up in HOU, but I think he was a better overall fit.

Suns are a hard matchup - the C's have been imposing their will on teams, Suns will be a hard team to do that to.

I don't think that LA did anything during the season to show that they were better than Cleveland, Orlando or us. Plus, if you're going to talk about matchups vs the Lakers, don't forget Rondo/Fisher. That's likely the most lopsided matchup in the series.

In the Cleveland series we did not get consistent play from both Pierce and Ray Allen (mainly Pierce).

So yeah, the Celtics can play even better and when they do we will beat teams by 30.

People need to realize that after the Celtics lost on their homecourt by 29, the worst playoff loss in franchise history, they did not lose a game again in the series.

I think we will not lose a game for the rest of the playoffs.
