I don't think anyone needs to apologize to Sheed or the rest of the Cs for criticizing them during the regular season.  They really gave a pathetic effort too many times to be overlooked.

However, fans like me should apologize for taking the regular season a bit too seriously.  As disappointed as Boston was then, smacking down LeBron almost makes up for it all.  If these guys win another ring, they can go 0-82 next year and they won't hear a peep out of me.

Dear Rasheed, I'm sorry I accused you of not putting forth 100% effort consistently during the season. It is obvious now that the playoffs function as a type of lazarus pit for you.

I will not apologize. He did not sign a decent sized contract that stated you only have to try in the playoffs.

I forgive him for not trying in the regular season. If he continues to play well in the playoffs he will have earned the money he made this year. However, I will not apologize for bashing him because he didn't try on a game to game basis.

If he can play like this for 8 more wins, all will be forgiven.  Right now, I am just happy we have him, but still have a bad taste in my mouth from the regular season.

Oh really? I thought this would be the thread where we demand an apology from him.

I am happy that he has upgraded his game to merely disappearing, whereas before he'd loom large as a team killer. Now he doesn't really help or hurt.

I guess his fouls on Shaq helped. His techs were still dumb.

Wallace, I am happy you finally decided to play up to you potential this year.  You picked the best time of the year to do it.  Do not stop until you are traded in the offseason.

Rasheed played well last night.  I even saw him jump a few times!

He's no Mikki Moore, though.

Great performance by Sheed last night, and for most of the series.

Sheed was the missing piece in August and he's still the missing piece in May and June.  Like him or not, we've gotta keep rooting for him to step up, or at least provide consistent solid minutes.

With Sheed playing better and the playoffs being here, I am feeling much, much better about our bench.  We're so versatile at the 2-5 positions, we really can matchup well with anybody, and have multiple defenders to play every superstar.

Sheed jumping for rebounds, hitting threes and saving the ball from going out of bounds. We cant lose

But darn it, someone needs to tell him to put his arms straight in the air and stop committing needless fouls! Occasionally it pays to foul on purpose but it's practically a once-in-a-game event if actually tries to contest without fouling.

TP Totally agree. He doesn't need to take a charge like BBD but just contest the shot. His fouls get us in the penalty much quicker than we should be. Most players look for the contact anyway and will miss the shot a good amount if you simply contest and don't foul.

Wow - As much as I'd love to bask in this thread, I cannot.

I am still hungry, as are Our Celtics. We conquered CLE. Now we have ORL to contend with.

I just visited Silver Screen and Roll not too long ago. They had a 1500+ post game thread on CLE-Bos. Many of their fans want Boston.

Sheed - Your work isn't done. I've always supported you, and you helped us win two games this series and didn't hurt us in the other games, but We need you even more against ORL and potentially LA!

But ORL first. We need all of the Bigs we have now.

Time to grab the lunch pail and go to work again, Big Fella! Play like you played on Christmas day, and we have a shot VS ORL!

TP for you greenfaith. I think you and I were the last ones defending Sheed by the time the regular season was winding down.

I missed most of game one against cleveland, but I have admired Sheed's effort in every game of the playoffs I have seen. He's 35 years old, has a crazy amount of mileage and isn't going to ever supply amazing stats on a regular basis. He is our PJ Brown plus. Whats the plus? He can do damage in the post and can hit those threes now and then.

I appreciate seeing this thread. Go Sheed! Go Celtics! 8 more wins to go!!
