Was just watching the ESPN chat marathon, where dunderhead Abbot and the other ESPN Celtic-doubters were holding forth. Hollinger was very honest about where he stands on the Celtics' prospects this postseason.

How is it no one recognized the Celts were using the Spurs' method? Rest the old guys in the regular season and make the playoffs, then cut them loose and win it all.

I don't think there's much of a comparison. Garnett only played 29.9 MPG but Boston's other key players played about what they did the previous two seasons. Also, the Celtics aren't going to win it all.

Good to know that Hollinger is not only stat geek but a soothsayer as well.

How can the win it all when everyone knows his prediction of the cavs ousting them in 5 was so spot on and PER-approved?

wait a second.....why...why is their a game six tonight? PER told me 5 games and the Cavs move on....MY LIFE IS A LIE! [dang] YOU HOLLINGEEEEEERRRRRRRR!!

Can't you just see him down on his knees cursing out his math formulas when they don't prove accurate?

He's a mad genius, but a tormented one!

It would be somewhat impressive if he said who was going to win the title. I'd say we have a better chance than he imagines but it's still a fairly long shot. I probably put a little more stock in some of the advanced stats than many here but he doesn't have a way to account for things like the amount of time KG and Paul have put in while they were far from healthy.

However, the Spurs are out of the playoffs while the Celtics are still in, and won it all two seasons ago.

considering how well we match up, and have played the last two years aganst Orl, its quite amazing to me no one thinks we can beat them. Just nuts.

Anyway, lets get there and see how it goes. Somehow, win tonight.

What a fool. Someone should tell him that the abacus he does his formulas on is broken.

holly, care to back that statement up? Why don't you crunch some numbers because as we can see from this series, your formula is correct 100% of the time.

Has Hollinger ever been correct on his predictions? What's his overall success rate?

Haha, TP.

PER is so overrated. Basketball isn't a video game or a formula. Its played by human beings.

One of these years Hollinger's formulas are actually going to be correct when it comes to predicting the champion before and during the season. When they do, watch out. He will never........evvvvvvvvvvver let us forget it.
