In my excited state, I re-watched the game late last night, which has caused an increase in coffee intake and slight sleep deprevation.
But it seems to me that one of the tactics that the Celtics are using to keep Lebron from finding his groove is to foul him before he gets a shot. There was several "on the floor" fouls on Lebron, it appeared to be frustrating him. The Celtics even continued to foul Lebron early when they where in the penalty. I was worried that the hitting some free-throws might help Lebron. But instead, he struggled at the free-throw line and seem to get more frustrated. Lebron even got him self into some foul trouble, picked up his 3rd foul early in the 2nd half. He actually was called for a charge in this game.
I am not sure that Lebron has ever, I mean ever, had to worry about picking up an offensive foul.
Hopefully, the Celtics can keep this up in the Garden. As long as Pierce isn't taking himself out due to foul trouble it could work.
