The following was sent via PM to all owners regarding the coaches portion of the draft:

Gentlemen

This is the way the coaches portion of the draft will work. There will be no definitive start and stop times to draft your coach. The oder of the draft for your coach is this:

Houston Rockets(buellj814)
Philadelphia 76ers(stoyko)
Charlotte Bobcats(riah32)
Golden State Warriors(Fan from VT)
Milwaukee Bucks(Donoghus)
Chicago Bulls(Drucci)
Memphis Grizzlies(GaBerkowitz)
San Antonio(Rebus Rankin)
New Orleans Bobcats(StartOrien)
Utah Jazz(nickagneta)
New Jersey Nets(GreenFaith1819)
Boston Celtics(Redz)
Portland Trail Blazers(Moranis)
Indiana Pacers(Truck Lewis)

The way it works is as soon as Houston(buellj814) makes his last pick of round 5 he can name his coach. Then in the order listed the other teams(owners) may name their coaches. Three rules:

1.) You can not name your coach until the team in front of you has already done it

2.) The team that is "on the clock" has 24 hours maximum to make their choice. This round does not have to end this weekend but I would hope to finish it by the start of round 6 on Monday.

3.) The coach you name must have been a head coach or assistant coach for an NBA team, a Division I college team, or the coach of an internationally playing national team(Olympics, etc)

Good luck

Nick

Seems like a legendary version of the present day Orlando Magic. Design on purpose?

I really liked the Danny Manning pickup. He gives your team good lineup flexibility and great versatility with his skill-set. A very good glue guy.

Smart choices with all of the coaches.

There are a lot of good coaches out there. I think Jackson, Popovich, Riley were the big three. I went with Brown for these reasons:

1. Winning percentage was quite good
2. Knows how to coach defense very well
3. Championship? Yes.
4. Coaching big egos? Yes.
5. During his Pistons run he successfully coached a team of equal talents and got them to buy in to the common cause. This all-time team is quite similar: all near the same level of excellence as each other, just way better than those pistons teams.
