It was a challenge selecting him. His production started to drop off right after that season I listed.

Interestingly enough, he in fact blocked more shots in 90-91, but dropped off significantly everywhere else. I'm thinking he really started to lose his mobility after 89-90.

But I'm glad for the opportunity to add him.

I'm up in two picks, and again am willing to move slightly down. PM me if interested in making a trade

With the Fourth Pick of the Celtics Blog Historical Draft, the New Jersey Nets Proudly select:

Kevin McHale!!

McHale + Hakeem in the post is going to be scary, that's for sure.  '89 - '90 McHale was still an elite player.

i thought we started 90-91!

I remember Nick discussing this. I thought that it was accepted to pick, provided that most of the season was in 90?

I don't know if nick retracted, but I asked him about this last week, and he said the '89 - '90 season counted.  That being the case, Larry and Kevin are much more valuable picks than they otherwise may have been.

I'm going to be entertaining offers for this pick to move a little back until 11 am, guys.

Also looking to pick up another later third round round pick.

It has always been 1989-90 as the starting year

nick, I get startorien's (Hornets) 6th round pick (the 9th pick of the round), not the Nets pick.
Sorry man....hopefully I finally have it right. This commissioner thing is a ton of work and I find myself bobbling around 5 different screens at the same time while answering calls and doing work.

Thanks for clarification.

Everyone has picked solidly thus far..I'd put the Blog's NBA Knowledge up against any other.

I really thought long and hard about the Bird pick, too.....long and hard. Riah beat me to it, though.
