They had every chance to win against the best team with the best player in the league in their building. They might wind up regretting this game, or they might win in 6.

They can win game 2. If they win game 2, they can win the series.
McHale's favorite ruse is putting paper in the mouths of sleeping teammates. "Try using one of these cocktail napkins," he said. "When just the edge sticks out of a guy's mouth, it looks like he's got fangs. The best part is when he wakes up."

Well as disappointing as this loss was, I must take the positives:

KG looked GREAT..2008-ish. With him looking like this, we have a shot, even after tonight. We can pretty much count on little production from Varejao or Jamison with KG playing like this.

Rondo was Spectacular. Ray came on in 2nd half. Pierce came out blazing in 1st quarter.

My first comment about refs was frustration - we can still do this even with the disparities in calls as long as we persevere. We didn't do it tonight, but there is Monday.

And what's up with Shaq hitting his ft's? 3-4 tonight. I was going to say we possibly should've gone to hackaShaq, but he was actually hitting them at a pretty good clip.

you give up 36 points in one quarter to the best team in the NBA and you aren't winning. boston choked in the second half like they have done all season

You aren't giving Cleveland enough credit. You should know they aren't going to just hand the C's a win.

C's didn't choke they just didn't finish.

same chapter and verse as all season. boston hasn't finished all year.

This game imo is on Doc.  Mo got hot because Rondo was tired and wasn't getting through screens and closing out on him.  Doc should have subbed him out and put in Tony or someone else when we were up 8-10 points, but no he kept the starters in to long once again when we were leading.  Should have had this game, but it came down to Doc getting out coached by freakin' Mike Brown ::)

He did put Tony on him and slowed him down. Too little too late. BBD looked horrible. Was hoping that Wallace would get thrown out so he would be off the court. Some really atrocious calls by the refs; but hard to say they were what changed the game.

So Rondo was running the show just fine, gets his 4th fouls 3minutes remaining of 3rd Q. Cavs go on a huge run while Rondo is on the Bench. Rondo back for the start of the 4th Q down 1point. Doc decides to play the game through Pierce. Big ****ing Mistake Doc. Rondo is the Point-Guard not Pierce. Consequently Celtics lose due to the inefficiently of Pierce running the show. That and him not being able to hit a shot.

Shaq whacked him in the face, (but no foul, of course).
