Wide open three pointer. Good shot to take, Artest was right to take that shot.

Wow.

Oh my, wow, bank shot dead on from three!

It didn't look like Phoenix would get that triple ... third time lucky

Haha, Artest! Nice to see Ron-Ron get the game winning basket.

He has had a tough time of it with his shooting in the postseason. Nice to see him get a big basket.

Yeah, lady luck smiled on both teams during their last possession.

Jason Richardson needed to body Artest.

Wow. Suns did a good job clawing back into the game but moral of the story you have to block out. Tough tough loss but all they can do is bounce back and try to force a Game 7.

Not sure why Kobe shot such a difficult 3 pointer over 2 people...double clutching to boot.....

3.5 seconds is enough time for a couple dribbles.

Unbelievable how many buzzer beaters they've won on the past couple of seasons. You can show up anytime now law of averages.

Honestly I will die a little inside if they repeat. We need to get our act together and win that title.

Everything is wrong in the karmic basketball world. We're getting screwed by the refs and injured while the Lakers win on a buzzer beater in a game that they should have lost.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

It's Kobe.

Entertaining game nonetheless. I went pretty nuts when JRich got the bank shot to fall. Love this suns team, so much fun to watch!

Also, who eats deep fried avocado!? I never knew such a combination existed!

  • Rondo = Good
I just want to share with you all how my friend's dad ruined this game for us.

My friend has a DVR, so we often like to just hang out at my house while the game is going on and record it at his, then go to his house after his parents have gone to bed so we can watch the game without any commercials.  The challenge, of course, is not to get any hints from other people about how the game is going.

Tonight, we did pretty well, but when we showed up at his house, his dad was still watching the game.  He finished watching it, but before we started watching it from the beginning, he told us it "was a good one" and that the Lakers "go up by 18 at one point" but that the game comes down to "the last 3 seconds."

My friend was so mad.  I didn't think it was that bad.  Game can still go a bunch of different ways, right?  We just know it's gonna be close.  But we knew the whole time that even though the Lakers went up, the Suns were going to come back.  And even though they did, I had a sneaking suspicion the whole time that the Lakers were going to win.  After all, if the game comes down to the last 3 seconds and the Lakers are involved, it always seems to be them who comes out on top.

When J-Rich hit that 3 to tie the game, I wasn't even surprised.  I was expecting it.  Then on the last possession, my friend and I were trying to figure out not whether the Lakers would score, but how, since we already knew it wasn't going to overtime.

Artest got that game-winner, which should have been simultaneously awesome and awful, but instead it was just like "Oh, so that's how it happened."

Really just a lame result in every sense.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

Funny, when I saw the score this morning and NBA.com's frontpage I thought Kobe had made a buzzer beater because of that pic :

I mean, Artest looks like the guy who congratulates his teammate after a buzzer beater, right? Then I looked at the caption and thought "Wow, Artest, really?!".

Funny how he went from public enemy N°1 in L.A (his two bricks from 3 in the last minute) to the hero of the night with his buzzer.

This loss sucks for the Suns, hopefully they will rebound in game 6 at home and then possibly steal the game 7, they've shown they can compete in L.A at least... so they have to come back!

I can't stand LA. They are certainly a Quality Team, but I still can't stand them.
