Celtics (50-30) at Bulls (39-41) 4/13

Looks good so far.  This is the kind of messy game that plays in the Celtic's favor.  If they want to have success in the post-season, they need to get their opponents into gritty defense-heavy battles like this one.  

The Celtics are a very good team when they hold opponents below 20 points in a quarter, even if they barely score more than that.

I counted 8 post-ups for the C's (3 for KG, 3 for Perk, 1 for Sheed and 1 for Daniels).  They produced 6 missed field goals, one defensive 3 second on the Bulls and one shooting foul on KG.  3 points on 8 possessions.  That just about sums up the C's offensive struggles in the quarter.

you know what though?  i like it.  the Celtics are gonna have more success when they look to slow down the game and take it inside.

I really like what I'm seeing so far. We're not playing with 100% intensity but the focus is there against a hungry team fighting for its life basically.

I really like Marquis being more aggressive by "default", thus regaining some confidence and maybe his spot in the rotation. Sheed showed an unexpected (and unseen all season long) quickness on his last move and he is playing with energy, more present for rebounds.

The 2nd unit is producing very well so far.

Too many gunners on that 2nd unit for Chicago: Pargo, Murray, Warrick.  They should be seeing if Noah can take Sheed off the bounce.  Glad they aren't.
