Also, maybe give a little credit to our guys for the trash talking that led to the completely irrational hero shot by Lebron.

That was funny. Lebron choke-job saved the Celtics from their own Choke-job.

I don't know if the trash-talking had a lot to do with it. Sure, it did influence him, but I think LeBron was thinking of the ESPN headlines saying "LeBron gets Cavs back from 22 point deficit to win it" and he wanted to see it saying "LeBron gets Cavs back from 22 point deficit and hits the game winner". Or maybe he wanted to get back at Kobe's numerous game-winners of this season. Anyway, is ego would have pushed him to take it anyway. :P

3. why was perk in the game on the late FT?
Because you absolutely have to get the rebound on a missed free throw in that situation. Its better to have your best rebounders out there who's a poor free throw shooter than give the Cavs a better chance at getting an extra possession.

I was really pulling for the big guy to make those too. Not just because it would have pretty much locked the game for us but also because I'm one of his toughest critics though I really do think he has a lot of potential, I want to see him continue to improve. Seeing some clutch-ness out of him would have been great, alas, not today.
CB Draft - New York Knicks

SG: Dwyane Wade / Gerald Henderson / Christian Eyenga
SF:  Grant Hill / Paul George / Earl Clark

I think the one lesson I learned from this season is that we need 20+ point leads by half time. If we can do that, we might just squeak out a win. We just don't have enough stamina to play over 24 minutes.

It doesn't matter. He's up there with his hands around a ball that hasn't hit the rim. It's a bad basketball play to let an official make a big call.

It was bad judgement to go up - true - but it was not a goaltend and should have been called correctly.  Bad judgement by TA, but he did rebound the ball.

I thought it was worth the risk.  The C's were getting killed with offensive boards and TA didn't want to take a chance, going up to snag the airball or grab the ball before it bounced long.  He succeeded and the officials made a bad call.

I don't understand why they didn't review it.

this should be the headline "Lebron is no hero". Choke Choke Choke

A little bit more excitement so squeeze out the win than I'd like, particularly having had the big lead late....but I'll take it.

Some interesting stuff to watch going forward:

*No Nate?  Is he going to be out of the playoff rotation?
*No Quisy?  -Ditto.
*Shelden:  Wouldn't have played if Sheed could keep his cool.  No surprise there, though.  Sheed is sort of a..."wild"card...

*We really need (NEED!) Ray to be money from 3 to beat the big teams.  He looked really good today, but missing 3 bunnies in the 1st half made me a bit nervous.

*Perk emerges with a double-double, 10/10/1.  We need that more often...like...all the time.

*Young, athletic bigs give us trouble, i.e. JJ Hickson, 14/11/1.

*We are a better team when the ball moves among all players.  Big 3 combined for 12 assists (Rondo 14).  I'm cool with that.

*Casino Tony seems to be learning to play within himself/his ability, mostly, which improves the odds of a payout considerably.  I'm afraid Doc will screw it up by trying to play him at PG again...

FINALLY looking like a team that's tuning up for the playoffs, even Sheed "Bad Contract" Wallace, who is trying to use up all his T's before the counter gets reset for the playoffs.  No bonus for saving those up...

Heh. Bill Simmons seems to actually be disappointed that Lebron didn't win the game for the Cavs based on his twitter comments.

That was the rare double loss. Boston's collapse was appalling (and predictable) and LBJ blew an ESPN Classic opportunity. No winners.

Fan card: revoked.

i agree....yes..it was awful boston gave away that huge lead....but unlike other games where they did this....they actually battled back from behind late to win the game.

Bill Simmons has gone into passive-aggressive Celtic fan mode since he picked the Lakers to beat them in the Finals.  I get the feeling that he doesn't especially like any of the C's individual players.
