Thanks for the interest, You guys think much like I do.

Here are the directions for the Tripel link

They're really not compicated...I did a steeping on my first batch, and beyond that it is just putting stuff in at the right time. Really the hardest part of the whole thing is waiting the 2 months while it is in the secondary fermenter.

I dunno though, the Rogue Dead Guy Ale is gonna be awesome, you can almost just tell, right?

Yea, that's what I went with. I have a very low salary requirement as a taste tester.  ;)

our Hefeweizen came out very drinkable...and we started a red upon opening it.. I'd go with the brown, can't go wrong with brown

Did it leave you ancy for more? Am I reading right that you already brewed a Red?

sorry, confusing - no finished the Hefe, started on a red... bottle in about a week, 3 weeks of conditioning then yummy times!

I was flirting with that notion earlier...it seems pretty easy...all you need is somethin for it to cling to and lots of water.

But, I decided maybe for the first year I'd stick to brewing beer. Did you read some of the stuff on that forum? How to build your own wort chiller, how to go all grain, how to build your own mashtun all the way to how to build your own keezer and tracking guys on building their own brewpub.

Stuff is addicting. For right now all I got is a bucket, a carboy, and a big ol brew pot....I'm gonna see where that can take me for right now. :)

Have you seen this?

http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f51/project-locator-69953/

Especially look at this:

and this:

Then, once you're done reading those, if you're like me you first want to change your pants and then you start thinking of what you'd call your own dream. I guarantee you go to sleep tonight thinking about it.

Three Hearted Ale is in the bucket..almost 1/4 lb of Centennial 9.9 AA hops in a 5 gallon batch, and I still have to dry hop an ounce. Countdown is on boys, what is next??

I almost think I should make a cheap session ale with a shorter ferment time so I don't drool over this IPA while it takes its sweet month an a half to mature.

the whole brewpub thing is awesome - I love Seattle too, maybe check it out in the next year or so...

we're bottling the Red Ale today, fermentation appears to have stopped... next round (end of April) we're going off of kits which could be scary... probably do something simple

Good luck to you sir. I want to move to a new place in late summer, and if it is a house and I have the money, I am SO going all-grain.

I ordered the Rogue Dead Guy Ale Clone on Sunday. I will be brewing it next thurs/friday. Pictures to follow, thanks for the votes, guys.

My latest. You can literally see my fingerprints on the other side of it. This was extremely tasty and well done, if I do say so.

Alas, no. I'm still wanting to do it, but its a bigger beer, and I wanted something done a little faster.
