Was this article sarcastic? Or did I just see it that way because I am losing faith in the team or because I am so used to Shaunessy being negative? I can't really tell.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

You see everyone is being negative so Shaunessy needs to have the opposite opinion of everyone else. He's just a contrarian.

Im more optimistic to especially after watching/listening to KG on "Game Time"last night after the Detriot game answer questions from E.Snow&S.Mitchell...KG without all the one-liners,snappy swear words he usually give the Boston media. He sounded sincere, and clear for a change about what might have been wrong with this team and what he feels they need to do in this last push towards the playoffs.I didn't know he could complete a sentence without swearing until last night. He sounds like he has more respect, and talked more openly to veteran players turned media when asked questions...Players know most of those regular media guys are only looking for a story to possibly make a headline the next day.

TP caught that as well.  I hope more people got a chance to see KG like that.  He sounded very reasoned with his responses.  It gave me a pretty good outlook on the situation.
tp backatcha...glad you saw it to...at least you got a sense of some things thats wrong with this team from a player than all these speculations day after day from media/fans only. Also,he didn't promise anything from this team, but has a clue to what they need to do to win the last 16games.I came away from that interview with more hope than i had earlier.

I didn't know he could complete a sentence without swearing until last night.

From what I've hear he's much more polite and respectful when he's not playing basketball.

I will give them credit - The celtics certainly have talked the best game in the NBA this year.

No doubt.  I know some don't like it, I do.
Talk is talk. Back it up or shut up. The only time you should ever talk is when you can and will back it up. They don't give out titles for "Biggest loud mouth."

They don't give out titles for the meekest team either.
When they start winning against important teams then talk away. Get in their face and call them girls. But get mud holes put in your rear against good teams then you should shut up.

God forbid the team have an ounce of bravado. Let 'em walk around with their heads down in sackcloths and ashes until they start winning.

Our 2-9 record against the top teams in east has nothing to do with "talking". Its who they are. One experiences a broad range of emotions in varying degrees of intensity after winning a contest or when one knows that they have beaten the opponent handily. Different teams react in different ways.....some keep their feelings to themselves while others dont. Our team likes to be vocal....and it doesn't matter if the opponent is a top 3 or bottom 3.

I think it was Sam Mitchell who said this while KG was on Game Time last night and I agree with him:
Quote
People have to understand that sports is fickle. I don't..it doesn't necessarily mean who you've beaten. If you have your confidence then you can go out beat anybody. So, you gotta get your swagger back, get that feeling back that we can beat anybody anywhere.

They can have bravado. They can also start backing up the talk. We'd all be better off if they did.

Well, I think we'll all feel better after a good showing on the road trip coming up.

No matter what our record is against the top teams, the fact is that no one really wants to play Boston, especially in a seven game series.

We are still Dangerous...haven't played like it all year, but I still call us a Sleeping Tiger.
