The win last night against Indiana was a good start, but Indiana still shot close to 50% from the field.  The rotations were better, although I think our starters played too long in the 3rd period.

Over all, good effort by the Cs against a team that didn't play defense.

I tell you what, give me a win tomorrow against the Cavs, keep them under 90pts...and then we are talking.   8)

I think that it's really hard to tell where we are right now. We win ugly, we lose badly but play great for 2-3 quarters.
The real question is not can they produce but can they be consistent with playing 40-48 min of great basketball.
what doesn't kill you makes you stronger

Yeah, Indiana shot 50% for the game but it was a blowout for three quarters so it's usual to relax and allow them to score more easily when all you've got to do is keep scoring... and with the way the offense was flowing last night (both with the starters and the 2nd unit), Indiana shooting 50% from the field was not a worrisome stat.

Also, I think the biggest difference in our good defense last night (leading to the start of the blowout in the 2nd quarter) was that Rondo did an excellent job of guarding his man, staying in front of him and fighting through screns. Thus, neither Ford nor Watson could penetrate easily and break down the C's defense for easy shots in the paint or wide open threes.

Really, if you watch the Memphis game again, you will see the difference between "good Rondo" and "gambling Rondo = terrible for our defense" since he played no defense against the Grizzlies but made the effort against Indiana.

Did anyone see that play last night where Glenn Davis just leaned on Hibbert, stole the ball, ran down the court, and nearly dunked it and got fouled?

No way on Earth Sheed makes even a portion of that play.

Did it look to anyone else like Davis would not pass it to Tony Allen on that play?  Seemed like he dribbled right past him and then gave it up to Nate who was a few feet away from Allen.

Well, ask yourself this

Given Tony Allen's penchant for mucking up fast breaks when trying to be the lead dribbler on a fast break, who would you hand the ball off to to lead a fast break, Nate Robinson or Tony Allen?

For me the answer is clear....Nate

My biggest stat flag last night was 1 offensive rebound (by Rondo no less).  I know they focus more on getting back to limit fast breaks over crashing for offensive rebounds but it still seems we should get more than 1.

I agree that we should hit the offensive glass a lot more(28th in the league in OReb%), but it's tough to come down with offensive boards when you shoot 58% from the field. And from some Doc Rivers quotes, they are not that interested in offensive rebounds and encourage the guys to get back on D. Only thing that would lead me to side with that philosophy is our overall team age.

That was not a criticism of baby by any means.  I just found it funny, as well as relieving, that Tony's own teammates are hesitant to give him the ball to lead a fast break.

TP. Baby played great tonight. His defense was effective and intense, his screens and blocks kept opponent off the boards, not to mention the 15 points he got. His jumper was there last game, maybe not this game, but it will come back.
