Offensive win share: An estimate of the number of wins contributed due to players offense.
Defensive win share: An estimate of the number of wins contributed due to players defense.

The chart is a little cheesy but I'm trying to eat KFC while i do it so cut me some slack.  8)

So as you can see, KG's affect in games has greatly diminished. Ray Allen was depended on for a lot last season. PP has been pretty consistent. And Rondo has improved greatly, and he is the only guard to appear top 10 in DWS for the past 3 years.

Wow, it's surprising how much the Big 3 has dropped off this season according to this metric.  I wouldn't have expected Paul Pierce to be so much lower than previous years.  I guess that's probably due to his injuries.

What that chart tells me are some things that I guess I've known on a subconscious level - like the fact that the Big 3 are getting older, or Ray Allen was soooooo clutch in so many games last season...also that Rondo is becoming integral to this team's success...I'd like to see the statistics for our other players - also keep in mind that that chart only covers the statistical production of our guys and not external factors like how easy they are to get along with, what they provide the team during practice, playoff experience, etc.

I don't know, i think PP will end up pretty close with what he had last year. But i think KG's drop is the one that is really disturbing. Especially since he's hogging a lot of money that can't really be moved elsewhere.

what that tells me is all of them have had drops in win shares....

the team's record could have easily told me this as well

No one asked what it told you, i was asking how you felt about the statistic itself... and then i used the teams diminished success as a way to prove it's accuracy.  :-X
