I'd rather watch small-time conference championship games on ESPN2 than this.  Yeah, the winner gets crushed in Round 1 of the NCAA's, but the crowds are great.

amen brother...at least they play their guts out

Can you pass me some of that optimism and hope?

My team sucked all that I had out of me.

Here it is:

The nay sayers are going to have a great night bashing the team. Unfortunately, it will be justified.  :(

not hating. it is the truth. this team has been bad since christmas. we have suffered though too many of these games this season. they deserved to be bashed

Why shouldnt we be bashing this team. They consistantly put up efforts like they just did. Even if the miraculously come back and win the game, there is no excuse for this collection of all stars and HOFers to collective sleep walk and not even give 50% of what they are capable of. The bashing is very well justified.

I would defend the team and the players(can't help it) but sadly, they haven't given me much to defend tonight. I'm hoping it will change by the time the game ends.

Doc needs to read these lazy jackasses the riot act.  This uninspired play is for the birds.  Why I start caring about the games more than the players, time to move on.

I think there ay be some serious chemistry issues that may cost them the championship. How can you consistently come out so bad against every team?

I think the starters are confused and are forcing everything. We keep hearing about how we're not moving the ball, but KG keeps passing up wide-open shots. Perk can't seem to distinguish his head from his arms - he doesn't bother to lift either. Ray harps about how he needs to get more shots, but our offense is even more stagnant when our game plan is about getting Ray shots. How much time runs off the clock having to set Ray consecutive picks? Paul's deferring to Ray so he hasn't gotten himself going. Rondo's in a catch-22. He has to make everyone happy. But when he has to try so hard at the beginning of the game to get his teammates going, we don't see that aggressive take-over-the-game Rondo that makes this team unstoppable.

Memphis on the other hand, is playing instinctive, free basketball.

I feel like my reputation on this board would be "the guy that gets upset at the negativity when its just, and is overly positive"

I'd agree with that.

But tonight I'm seeing something that really disappoints me and makes me mad. I still have faith for us in the playoffs because there is no back to backs, it's more of a half-court game based on single matchups.

BUT going forward we need to improve the starting lineup OFFENSIVELY, Rondo is the future, Pierce is still a star, Ray definitely isn't the problem, and we couldn't get rid of The Big Contract if we tried. That leaves one guy who is an expiring contract, a decent double double guy, a defensive stopper, AND an NBA champion. I'm sorry Perk... this isn't 100% your fault but I, muscularghandi, have just traded you.

Easy. Just grow a foot, have a tremendous amount of talent, and spend a decade building up your reputation/career/credentials and then win a championship.

Then you can coast.

You can either win the state lottery or go to Vegas to do that.  God bless America.

i am not trying to be dramatic..but this group of player will not be a serious title contender ever again. it is time to look for toward the future. i appreciate their effort in the title run but it is painful to watch them struggle to get up and down the court, defend and have 33 point halves. it is time to clean house and start over. PP is not the same player he was to start the season. KG's knee will never be 80 percent again. ray allen would be a great 6th man. but this team is done (title contending)

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
So translating what Tommy just said, Pierce isn't explosive anymore.
