The 2008 defense was great because they played it for 48 minutes, and just killed the other teams will.  We have seen stretches of them playing it before during this season and last.  But until they can maintain the intensity for an entire 48 minutes (and 7 game series), it is not the same defense.

Who? What? Where?

This team is no where near the 2008 level of defense. Our rebounding is still abyssmal. Washington of all teams shot 55% on us for three and 1/2 quarters and we were dead lost at 65-78 with 6 minutes left.

So we were going to get another very negative entry on our already crummy resume losing to another lousy team at home in front of a national TV audience.

Out of fear of becoming a National Embarrassment, the team finally responded out of desperation in the last 6 minutes of the basketball game. Lemme tell you, the crowd is sick of this underachieving judging by the reports of Chris Forsberg on the Ginos late night show.

A desperation comeback in the last six minutes of a basketball game on your HC against a weak opponent does not inspire confidence in me.

Sorry.
The beatings will continue until morale improves

Shutting down a d league quality team for a few minutes doesn't impress me.  We are playing nowhere near championship level defense.
I fully agree
