I honestly believe Eddie is not going to stay with the Knicks. He'll be frustrated playing for a losing team that's all about the future (2010 offseason). Eddie is a win now guy, and has become accustomed to it these past 2.5 years. He's grown to like the City of Boston, love his teammates (they're like his family), love the fans and the Celtics organization. At age 31 theres no way I believe he's ready to start all over when his career is near the end. I won't be surprised if rumors of a buyout is on the fly in the coming weeks. He could still help this team by being strictly a shooting specialist and not a back-up point. The C's still have 2 open roster spots with currently 13 players on deck.

14th spot: Eddie House = Return to Boston
15th spot: A desperate need for a 6-10+ C/PF Rebounder/Defender

NEW YORK, February 18, 2010 – New York Knickerbockers President of Basketball Operations Donnie Walsh announced today that the team has acquired guards Eddie House and J.R. Giddens, guard/forward Bill Walker and a future conditional second-round draft selection from the Boston Celtics in exchange for guard Nate Robinson and forward Marcus Landry.

I'm thinking the Celtics sent the Knicks too much in exchange only for Robinson. I believe that second round draft pick is in exchange for Eddie House buyout. ;)

maybe - the conditional second rounder might as well have been nothing at all ... that's a handful of magic beans

Without knowing the conditions, it could be as unlikely to occur as those conditional 2nd round picks we negotiated with Sac when we traded them Cassell and later POB.

Yeah, but if that happens, we'll have an 11-12 player rotation.

just the way doc likes it!  ;)

also, i know the NYK are playing for next year, but dantonio loves house.....i think he stays in ny. remember, they are not tanking for a draft pick like many teams in the past. they are simply clearing space in hopes of luring a FA. what good does a buyout do them? the $$ saved is nothing to them.

This makes no sense -- the Knicks have no reason to tank (Utah has their 1st round pick), and Eddie's playing major minutes.

  • Rondo = Good
With Nate Robinson on the roster, we have no available minutes for Eddie House whatsoever.
