Not good. Washington has a team option ($11.8 mil) for him next season. I wonder if they choose to keep him. I'm guessing not.

Arenas, Thornton, Blatche, McGee, and Nick Young are the only guaranteed contracts they have for next year. Quintin Ross has a player option, and Foye is a RFA.

All they need now is for Blatche and Thornton to go down and John Wall is as good as theirs.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

There's this thing called a lottery in the NBA.

Dallas must be particularly happy to have made that trade.

Howard must be looking forward to the pain killers.

I know there is a lottery. In a real lottery the more tickets you buy the higher your chances of winning, in this lottery the more losses you have the higher chances of winning.

Do you also know that if they lose every game for the rest of the season that they'll finish with the 2nd or 3rd worst record? Their chances might go higher but I don't think they'll get much over 1 in 5.

I wonder what this will do to his market value in free agency this summer.

It looks more and more likely that Howard will available for an MLE type deal.

I think he signs a Posey style deal.

Far less money than he'd get hoping to have a healthy year and get a new contract. Otherwise he's looking at a less than MLE type deal for what 3+ years?

I agree.  I think a one year MLE deal might be his best bet.

I would have to agree. He might not even get MLE considering he wont be completely healthy until this time next year. Look how long it has taken Big Al to round into form. This is on top of an already abysmal year for him and he should be available for cheap. He will be 30 next year so who is going to pay this guy? Let's get him for a year on a Daniels type deal.

Quick stupid question for a TP. Can he be bought out if his final year is a team option? I'm guessing no but I cant find the answer anywhere. thanks!
