Brian Cardinal to be traded for Darko Milicic. Who feels more offended by the deal?

I thought the rumor was that Darko was going back overseas.

After the season, yes. His time in NY was that traumatic for him.

Who knows? Maybe getting some PT with the Wolves will change his mind.

With the Big Al lethal weapon, and Darko's defensive ability, they might just make a pretty good pair. But Al is done for the season right? Or am I mistaken.

What is wrong with Darko? Is it a BBIQ thing? Cause dude has a nice mix of Size and mobility. Its a rarity in the NBA being a mobile Center. For some odd reason, I still believe this guy has a lot of untapped potential. If he can get his head straight, and find a Good Big Man Coach (Clifford Ray) that pushes him. Darko can be a serviceable backup Center. Or even a starting Center on the right Team.

It's not bad for the Knicks either. They save some money and they get rid of a player that doesn't want to be there.

Darko has tons of untapped potential, but expectations were too high after going #2 in the draft.  He's a good passer and shooter, high-post guy, and defender, so he should be a perfect fit for the triangle offense, and should probably start next to KLove or Al (which is the problem...which one?).

Any chance we get in on this with the Nate/House trade?

Here's one that works on ESPN's trade machine:

BOS:  Nate, Gomes
NYK:  House, Giddens(cut), Cardinal (and BOS 2nd round pick)
MIN:  Darko, Scal (and BOS 1st round pick)

I'm not sure how picks work for salary in trades, but I'd swap a late 1st rounder for Gomes and Scal's expiring.  He'd be a decent big 3/small 4 off the bench, and the last 2 years of his deal are only partially guaranteed.  Minny could get more for him, but I'm hoping they see him as a too-expensive backup on their squad.

Kevin Love is the Wolves' player of the future, as stupid as i think it is. Darko and Love could be interesting.

Mis-used and abused by too many coaches.

It will be difficult to get through to him at this stage. He has a strong opinion of who he is as a player and it's completely wrong. Breaking that down, and, then building him back up will be very difficult.

I do agree though, I think Darko has a lot of potential.

Heck, he's a solid enough player as is if directed to do what he does best. Defend and rebound.

I wonder if this means Big Al is on the move.

Well, they have another big man now.  Seems like a silly move (both contracts are expiring) unless it's a prelude to something else.
