So he's supposedly Cleveland's "Plan B" trade. What would Cleveland be offering, and what does Indy want? Expirings? Young talent?

He's not a prolific superstar, but if we could land his rebounding ability without giving up major pieces of our roster like Ray, I'd do it in a heart beat. I am convinced that our struggles are mostly rooted in the fact that we don't rebound well as a team.

Because he isn't a star and he doesn't fit a need.

He would be an overpayed big man off the bench for the Celtics.

He is no way Cleveland's Plan B.

The Cavs have offered Z for him.  That's it.  This stuff about Z and Hickson is most likely being made up by IND or purposely put out there to put pressure on PHX

It would be funny to see a lineup with Sheed and Murphy camped out on the 3 point line, and Rondo, Quis, and TA having no shooting range.

What if we moved Sheed to Charlotte in a separate trade for a backup point? The lineup stated above would definitely be odd to watch...however, if Sheed were to be moved, Murphy would help our rebounding issues for sure. The guy can rebound.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
I started a thread on Murphy 3 days ago...

http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=35238.0

personally, i like him but if you read any of the posts you can find that the other 98% don't...

i would love an expanded deal with Indiana (or even a 3rd team to get involved) but i'm a murphy fan and would love him on this team to provide frontcourt depth.

I mean, there aren't many minutes left at the 4/5.  How much is he really an upgrade over Wallace and Davis?  I'm not saying he isn't better, but how much does he actually upgrade what's already pretty good?

I'd rather get some guard help or dramatically upgrade another position.

Murph is one of the worst defenders in the history of the league. Stay far, far away from guys like him, Maggette or Jamison.
