it is obvious that nobody out there is going to give up anything remotely decent for ray allen. he just isnt worth much anymore...i bet danny thought he would get a lot offered back for him and he prolly just didn't.

other teams haven't watched this celtics tam blow lead after lead either like we have

Thoughts on the half
If Sheed can consistently play like this he deserves to start over Perk, not just the offense he has been a good last line of defense.

It would be nice if KG or Perk actually attempted to get an offensive rebound.

If this is the player Davis going to be in second half we will win a lot of games.

Daniels should be guarding Evans. Evans is just too big for Rondo.

Kevin Martin is a lot quicker than I thought, didn't realize he could get to the whole like he does.

Rondo's playing better D on Evans than anyone else on the team.  Very solid work.

i dont think they arent hustling..i think the big 3 are just old and slow and cant do it anymore...i think perk is regressing and i think rondo is afraid to take over as the #1 option on offense. the big 3 look horrible on both ends.
I don't think Pierce and Perk are hustling.  KG at least seems like he's trying.  Ray just looks shot at this point.

23 points scored by the starting five. what does that tell you about these guys?

Yeah it's very worrisome.  Watching the game the energy, quickness and lift just aren't there.  If after a break things haven't gotten any better then what is left?  Pierce and KG say all the right things but right now can't back it up with results.  This team was built on defense but whether it's age, complacency or fatigue they aren't able to give any consistent effort now.  Throw in plodding offense and lack of finishing ability and the starters just don't have it right now.

When will it come back?  There aren't anymore long breaks coming before the playoffs so it better happen soon...

It's not the player that has value anymore: Rockets are getting a decent haul of picks and a lottery player for TMAC. Problem is no trade out there that teams will actually do helps us win a championship this year.

Ray's value in a trade has little to nothing to do with his playing ability.  But yeah, it just seems like his legs are dead - though to be fair to Ray, all these trade talks and uncertainty have probably cost him some of his focus out there too.

at least we wont blow another double digit lead in the third quarter :-\

agree about ray...martin is blowing by him at will and ray's shot looks short armed...i think PP is still having leg issues and i think this is the best KG will be...perk has killed boston as of late with his missed bunnies and bad turnovers

i think danny wanted way more for ray than teams realistically believe he is worth

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
It's definitely a team effort on the part of the starters. Pierce forcing the offense, Ray missing open shots, Perk missing open layups, KG being passive offensively, and Rondo not being more aggressive in running the team. The problem with the starters is obviously on the offensive end and everyone contributing to the problem.

if we were to base our future plans on this first half, it would tell us that our starting five needs a change, not the bench

Thought we were down 30

So I checked the score on ESPN and OMG we are up 5

Would have never guessed by the tone in this thread

You people have to lower your expectations for this team

They just aren't the same team they were in 2008

Be happy they are winning instead of peaved that they aren't winning by 50

Low expectations= low results, especially if its coming from the players.

We as fans want a championship, not a 2nd round exit

23 points scored by the starters is pathetic. i can't lower my expectations any lower for this team. i think most people here are frustrated that a starting five of 4 all stars loses a 10 point lead when they return and they can only muster 23 points...against the second worst team in the nba

i still think a Ray for Martin and Noccioni with Sac buying out Ray is still a possibiliy.  Look how $$$$$$$ that would save Sac----- they;d be dumb to turn that down--- Noccioni's contact kinda sucks and he's useless but you do what u have to do at this point
