  • You ain't the boss of the freakin' bedclothes.
Danny will make the trade if its the right trade. He won't make one just to make one.

Means nothing.  These guys say anything to get a headline.  While Danny may be motivated to make a deal, if the right deal does not present itself, Allen is not going anywhere.

I really want Caron Butler. I think he would be a perfect player to trade for along with Miller maybe. But Butler is a beast on Defense and would fit in with the scheme perfectly.

Russillo has been very solid in the past.  He was one of my favs in Boston back in the day.  Guy has a passion for basketball and had some good connections.

Who knows if he's on to something but seeing Russillo say something does make you think.

Then again, he could just be hedging himself in the event that any trade does go down.

I also have been reading now that D'antoni is having trouble with Nate again and Al Harrington. Maybe the Celts can jump in the deal that is the 3 way with Was. And Houston and try to get Nate. Or come to them with Ray for Al and Nate? We could have a big starting five of

Rondo
Pierce
Al
KG
Perk

and then a solid bench behind them with young runners

Nate
T.A. if he wasn't included in the trade
Daniels
Big Baby
Sheed

The thing is, I don't think Danny even knows if he can make a trade right now.  Its just too early.

My guess is Danny is being very aggressive, and that is where this is coming from, but that means nothing if the deal isnt there.

I don't really see anything developing until late Wednesday night or sometime in the day Thursday.  This thing will go down to the wire.

Ugh... I feel like is Ray going to get traded so I just want us to get big value in return for the present and the future. I guess Butler and Miller would be good.

Also I have big hopes that if Ray gets traded he gets bought out and re-signs with us for the playoffs but I guess it's just a pipe dream... But I don't like to hear by a reliable source that Ray will get traded. :'(

I don't know why but if the Baby/Augustin rumor has legs, I would not be surprised to see the following trades happening :

Baby for Augustin
Ray for Kevin Martin and Nocioni

Then Doc would use Nocioni at the power forward spot and you would have the same starting 5 minus Ray, plus Martin, and a bench of Augustin/Eddie or Tony/Marquis/Nocioni/Sheed.

Really a good trade for us if that was to happen, and if Danny has the ownership's approval for taking Nocioni's contract, I think he will do it.

Yeah.  If Martin, Ellis, and Iggy are all out of the equation, and we can't get a talent similar to that in a trade, Danny won't pull the trigger.  Anybody who thinks we'd trade Ray for Hinrich and Ty Thomas is nuts.  If Danny did that trade, he'd be waving the white flag on this season.

Do it. If it's there, do it. Mike Miller is an excellent three point shooter, Caron is a big upgrade over Ray on the defensive side.

Oh, and Miller and Butler are both averaging over 6 boards so far, Butler nearly at seven. You can't say we don't need the help on the glass.

Then get Tyrus Thomas, and I think we might be on the right track.

This trade would make me wildly happy. Technically the trade works without adding House, but i think that they'd want Eddie because he's expiring plus he's another guard to throw in ahead of Earl (not quite the pearl) Boykins.
