Last week it was Rashard Lewis blowing by KG for the game winner in Orlando, but tonight KG can't even stay with Humpheries on the Nets. He has blow by KG at least 3 times tonight off the dribble. Devin Harris even drove straight at KG and he could do nothing. His shot blocking is completely gone. Also missed an easy alley oop which is becoming to familiar these days.

I am extremely worried .....

Get ty thomas here fast, we need an insurance policy. Though without a healthy KG we won't win anything anyways.

Perhaps 1 on 1 he's been inconsistent.  Ultimately when he's on the court the defense is better than when he was injured.  Let me guess, you'd rather see the guy in your avatar get more minutes even though he truly is awful on defense.

Even injured KG is not awful.

No I would love to see the C's add a defensive player off the bench like Ty Thomas. Someone who can bring energy and D on nights when KG just doesn't have it.

Thomas is averaging 1.75 blks and 1.25 stl with 6 rpg in only 23 mins. That would be a great addition to the bench if the C's can somehow get him.

Tyrus Thomas is in no way insurance for KG. And I'd like to point out that there were similar complaints in November which seemed to subside as KG got healthier/more in shape.

I know Thomas isn't anywhere close to the all around player as KG, but he would bring a great energy off the bench on nights like tonight when KG just doesn't have it. He could also come in handy if we face atlanta or lebron in the playoffs.

he's still a work in progress - to whatever max he will be.  That said - look at the team's defensive metrics with KG vs no KG and there is no comparison.  The Rashard Lewis thing was not about a blowby but about a lazy ass defensive rotation.  Looked like KG was expecting help that never arrived.

not worried about G...If he's hobbled, the teams gotta adjust and elevate their game.  I never get the impression G is quitting out there. He aint dominatin', but I'll still take him.   The teams gotta stop star gazing and play accountable team Bball.

Wait, the Kris Humpheries that was 1-for-6 from the field?

Anyway, to the point obviously KG isn't fully himself.  But as others have said, we watched this progression earlier in the season that was going well before the hyper-extension.  Let the team get out of the dog days, let him get his legs under him, and let's see what it looks like.

Plus, even as not-himself as he's been, as others have pointed out the team defense is way better with him out there than without.

In another 2-3 weeks, KG will be better, more consistent. Takes time.

Please be patient with KG. Anyone who has ever had surgery knows that KG was not working out this summer but was rehabbing and the two aren't even comparable.

KG was playing pretty well before the most recent injury-hyperextended knee. Really shooting it well. I am sure there is an imbalance in strength with bith legs too and that will make the rehabbed knee look like it's dragging a bit but it doesn't mean it's injured.

I really wish we had Phoenix medical staff though because those guys work wonders for older players.

If KG can remain healthy this year I believe he will continue to inmprove. He will never be the same guy he was two years ago. Not after surgery at his age in pro sports but he can be very effective and help us win a title.

Amazing no one talks about Ubuntu this year. Personally I think that is a huge deal.

STOP IT.

I thing we play best games against Magic, and tomorrow won't be any different.
KG looks like he aged 5 years in last 6 months, no vertical ability, gets abused by Humpries, and any other player he is guarding.
The injury got to him, and he won't be back fully until next year.
