Typical GM speak. Answered none of the questions, we can fix everything and we can win the championship with this team. Blah blah blah. Same crap -- "We like our team," blah blah blah.

Danny pretty much said that he's shopping Ray Allen by saying he did not comment on Wojo's report (that's how I took it).

same here

Interesting.

Some notes:

-They are not looking to rest KG.  He needs to rebuild his strength and conditioning.  He will probably get a little more rest later in the year, but no plans right now.  They expect him to play about 30 minutes per game, then ramp up in the playoffs.

-During 10 game win streak, KG was playing great, and very effective.  He is never going to be what he once was, but can still be an impact player on both ends of the court.

-Rasheed not played as well as he is capable.  Has played well against Orlando, and has played well defensively.  They knew what they were getting with him.  Frustrated with the team in general with defense, rebounding, etc.

-Need to execute down the stretch of games.  Too much of coasting and "picking spots".  Hard to turn it on or turn it off.  Not in synch, and sloppy execution.  He thinks the team is "pacing" themselves.

-On Lewis layup, there were multiple breakdowns on the play.

-Ainge sets it straight that he never commented on Wojo's trade rumor, and never comments directly on any rumors.

-He did say that they have not "sought" Ray Allen trade discussions.

-Believes they are still contenders, and does not buy into the "age stuff"

Typical GM speak. Answered none of the questions, we can fix everyting and we can win the championship with this team. Blah blah blah. Same crap -- "We like our team," blah blah blah.

I think the only important thing he said, which I think a lot of people need to listen to, is that unless you hear the actual quote (and context), do not buy any of these reports about things he "said".

I agree, because he said nothing that has not been published a million other places or broadcast on other stations.

To my ears, the most interesting thing he said was that he felt the team was sort of "pacing itself" during the regular season. First I've heard of management saying that.

Yea he was pretty adamant about only believing what he says, and not what other people said he commented on.

Right, but whenever it is published or talked about, his "GM talk" turns into him making firm statements, when really, he was just trying to blow off the question.

He has been saying that all season, as has Doc.  They also talked a lot about it before the season, as their biggest worry.

I took that to mean he is not actively shopping ray, but is listening to offers (which i'm sure teams are making for that expiring contract if nothing else)

I feel like Ainge is trying to shakeup the team a little. Maybe he will trade Big Baby and Scal for a big who can actually rebound, like Jeff Foster.

Yeah I was gonna give two TP's but I found you can only give one every hour.
