Darren Collison has really impressed me this year. As a starter for 10 games he has averaged 15ppg, 8apg , 1 stl . I know he is not the player Paul is overall , but if you could trade paul for another franchise player that is not a PG I think you should if you are New Orleans.

I really think Collison is going to be an all-star in the next few years. Maybe something like chris paul for Danny Granger?

Paul is untradeable until after he recovers from his knee surgery.

I understand , it would have to be after he returns and proves he's healthy.

it's too bad for Collison that he is only 6 feet.  I guess it would be hard to try and have him play SG alongside CP.

Yeah, Collison's been ballin', but it's a little early to start thinking Paul should be traded. There's no way New Orleans is thinking trade after two good games from Collison.

A different way to look at it: would Boston consider trading Pierce if say Bill Walker has two superb games? Probably not.

I did pick up Collison in my fantasy league, though  8)

Paul Pierce doesn't have the same trade value that a chris paul has. But i get the comparison

No!  Any team not planning on making the playoffs this year would trade for Chris Paul.  Eventually Paul or Collison will have to be traded because Collison doesn't look like a career backup.

Collison is a very nice player, and will have a long career as a backup, and spot starter.  I think he will have a career similar to Brevin Knight, or Armstrong (for the Magic...forget his first name).  He is not Chris Paul though.

Nobody is Chris Paul, but Collison looks a little better than Knight and Armstrong to me.  I think he scores better than Knight and distributes better than Armstrong.  But its early, we will see.

Yeah and Brandon Jennings was the second coming of a guy named Jordan... We all see how far that went.

The kid might be showing some skill...But its 10 games, don't jump the gun. You don't just trade Chris Paul cause this kid is playing well in his absence. So, the kid is averaging 15 and 8....Chris Paul averages 20 and 11 with 2.5 steals!! I would think the argument who can the hornets trade Collison for to complement Paul...

I think you might have it opposite.

Raising Collison's stock could entice a team to take him along with a Posey/Perterson for an expiring and a pick. That would really help the Hornets get out of the financial mess they got themselves into.

Darrell Armstrong. I thought he was still lingering in the league, but he retired after 07/08.

He is going off again tonight against Orlando.

The Hornets scored 70 in the 1st half , Collison has 16 and 8 ast

This kid is going to be an all-star in the next few years.
